James O'Keefe's anti-media organization Project Veritas schemed to hurt The Washington Post and help Roy Moore.
But the Post turned the tables and exposed the plot. Now O'Keefe is the one on the defensive.
It's an extraordinary and sordid story that begins with a fake sexual assault allegation. The apparent goal was to discredit the real women who previously spoke with the Post about alleged sexual misconduct by Moore, the Republican nominee for Senate in Alabama.
O'Keefe, a highly controversial activist, had one of his colleagues reach out to the Post with a new, made-up account of Moore's behavior. The woman claimed that Moore had slept with her and even urged her to get an abortion.

Trump now fully backs Moore.

RNC stepping back in now and will fund his campaign.

McConnell seemingly suggests Congress will accept him if elected.

Just sad. Really sad. Even by Alabama standards.

Sex scandal stuff aside, you essentially have a hypocritical theocrat running against a run-of-the-mill southern Democrat. The former being awful and the latter just bad.

I don't know if it'll will be so much a meltdown as much as it will be a lack of surprise in the intellectual capacity of Alabama's cave dwelling citizens. I like the south, but most of Alabama and Arkansas can suck a dick. I would airlift the Ozarks and Birmingham to their own island just off the shore of the Carolinas, but the rest of those places would be better served as parking lots.

I mean, there are a lot of people like you there.

This is the kind of attitude that is expected from pseudo conservatives. The 'dims' will make the GOP wear that Albatross until it rots.

Watching the Evangelical right rationalize why a child molester is better than a moderate democrat because 'votes' will be top shelf entertainment.
