Ray played at Grand View College in Des Moines, Iowa, while Tyndall played at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. "I've known Rick for 25 years," Tyndall said on Monday's SEC teleconference. "We got started in the business at very similar ages and similar times. I have a great deal of respect for Rick. We've been friends and known each other going back to when I was a junior college coach. "He's worked his way up and done a great job everywhere he's every been. He's a tireless worker, he's got a great personality and gets along well with others."
