I think all of VolNation wants to forget about that fiasco. Bryce ended up to be one of the first players, who was ranked #1 in the nation coming out of HS, to be a total bust.

Without question. It is easy to say "what if" when considering him.

I wish we could find a way to get JayG before the bowl game. What is the precedent for that?

Don't think we are going to hire anyone till January, or so it would seem.

It sure seems like the safe bet but coaches have left before bowl games before. Anybody here remember the circumstances around leaving before the bowl? Maybe a title that makes the move more than a lateral move. If so make JayG the running game Coordinator and get him to knoxville.

I hope they throw 400k at him. If he don't come for that, then let him stay in South Carolina.

That would double his salary I would guess. SS does have a history of sending coaches packing if he finds out they are leaving. David Reeves fits that.

Question: Why would we wait on a guy (that is indeed GREAT) but that we cannot mention his name to recruits or let him recruit? What's the point of sabotaging our own RB recruiting class? He won't be able to come to Knoxville until lat January...too close to NSD

If you don't the choices go down dramatically.

I have a small amount of hope that adding a run game coordinator title might get whomever out of their current contract and to knoxville now but that's no likely.

I would like Graham first, but if Graham doesn't come then this man would be a great addition. Being at the NFL, around football players, I'm sure he is fairly high energy and recruiting can be learned. This guy's life has been football; his whole career is football. Recruiting, if he just went out and did it, would be something he could soon excel at.

Not sure this is correct. Brown has a big background in ST. I think he is still in play.

Could happen I guess. I would think that if we hire a full time special teams gut then he would be a guy with more than 2 years of ST coaching experience. JMO

OCI started this yesterday and just said that he isn't interested. So it may be dead.
