Fully expected a hefty price to increase storage capacity with a specialty SSD.
Microsoft’s Xbox Series X 1TB expandable storage priced at $219.99
That's my plan too. I'm doing it on the ps4 anyway. It takes very little time to shift games around when I'm done with one. I'm not shelling out 200 bucks for a 1tb drive to avoid that. You can pick up a 5tb usb external hard drive for half that.I'll just beat and delete (or more accurately, beat and offload to my external).

If you have 20 minutes and want some good laughs you should watch this video on the RTX 3090
3090 is overkill and insanely overpriced. 3080 is a monster at still too high of a pricepoint. I'll go with a 3070 and get that 2080 Ti speed for $500. I'm locked to 100hz on my 1440p ultrawide monitor anyway, so a 3080 would probably be overkill for me.

I'm going to wait and see what AMD has to offer because I think that is when NVidia shows their 3080 20GB and 3070 16GB versions since rumors are really swirling that the next Big Navi and Slightly Less Big Navi are going to be 16 GB VRAM and 12 GB VRAM, respectively. Also, there are reports about constant crashing in games with the 3080 right now anyway so its not worth it to buy it yet.
Reminds me of....
Mid 40s here.
I was wowed by pacman on my atari 2600.
I was wowed by pitfall 2 on my atari 5200.
I was wowed by super mario and zelda on my nes.
I was wowed by super mario, pugleys quest and castle of illusion on the SNES and genesis.
I was wowed by metal gear and resident evil on ps1.
I was wowed by morrowind and halo on the xbox.
I was wowed by titanfall on xbox 360.
I then found myself playing a 2005 remastered halo game on my xbox one more than anything else and now version 1,001 of COD. Outside of BF1 nothing has impressed me. It's just rehashes of games that have been out a decade.
At this point gaming has gotten really stale.
I was playing red alert 2 last night on cncnet and my son was like is this a new game it looks fun.......for those that don't know it's almost 25 years old.
Gaming is in trouble. They really need to get games way more open world and immersive.
Just my 2 cents but when my 14 year old son asked for a gaming computer instead just so he can play Roblocks and mod it unlike the xbox the xbox is in trouble. I think PS is in much better shape with proprietary games. Xbox losing Bungie has really hurt them I feel. 353 is trash.
Yes it has. It’s fantastic to me though. Something different than call of duty or bad madden games. But I agree PlayStation is in better shape.
@NEO I completely agree and I hope you took no offense. I keep buying new consoles because I'm optimistic that someone will make me feel that way again. I think that video, although parody, resonates with a lot of us aged gamers (I'm 37 myself).
To me Nintendo is mario, zelda, and metroid and has done a good job keeping them coming and interesting.
PS is metal gear, god of war, castlevania etc, uncharted, spiderman, etc. Basically they have a ton of proprietary games.
Xbox is Halo. The end. They havent even put out a dedicated xbox one halo game as 5 ran on thr 360 also I believe. Its scary sad.
There should be multiple Halo games each system and spin offs. First person master chief open world would be awesome. 353 couldn't even get a launch title out which shows they are in trouble.
I may buy a ps5 for myself. I liked my 3.
