Next Cowboys HC could be good for Vols

I think Mullen would be a great hire for the Cowboys. Regardless of all the pontificating in here that he can't coach I'm actually a tad pissed we didn't hire him. I'm sure everything will work out but he's a good coach. And all the BS that he can't recruit is just that, BS. Turmoil in Gainesville makes me happy.

I don’t believe that one bit. Rumor was always that Mullen and family never cared for the Gainesville community from the Urban days.
I meant that Jeremy is going to blow by Danny soon and the guy doesnt scare me one bit at UF.

Mullen on list with Lincoln Riley, Urban Meyer and Josh McDaniels. I could see Mullen reuniting with Dak as a real possibility. His buyout is only $2.0M. If offered, I think he takes it.

Mullen has picked up steamed bc of the Dak connection. He doesn't deserved the job but if he does get offered he wouldn't even pack his bags he would leave so fast.

Dan Mullen is now the frontrunner for the head coach job for the Dallas Cowboys since Garrett has been let go. With this, UT is in position to jump to the top of the SEC east for the next 4 to 5 years. Georgia regressed this year and their offense is nothing to be feared. Now its a blessing in disguise that we didn't get Mullen as our coach as so many had wanted!

You know, everybody seems to think that UT hasn’t been curb stomped by Kirby Smart and UGA the last few years. Am I missing something? Is this collective amnesia? Maybe the guy doesn’t maximize their talent as much as he should, but you wouldn’t be able to say that every time UT plays them because we haven’t come close to beating them since he’s been there. That’s not even mentioning the fact that we can’t not **** ourselves every time we play UF, no matter who their coach is.

Let’s pump the breaks and get a QB that doesn’t put us in a hole every game, then we can talk about winning the East.

It could also have a domino effect whereas Stoops at Ky might get a look at both Ok or FL. I wonder if Bob Stoops is in play in Dallas? Hopefully they will offer Saban a $200 million lifetime contract.

Me trying to understand how the OP came to his conclusion.

OP, we can't dominate bad teams and you think we're going to rule the east?
Got to crawl then walk before running. We're just crawling right now.

I wonder if Ms. Mullen is going to pucker up for all the pro players every game or if that was just a college thing for her?

Why leave the "hot-house" of high-school football in Florida for a high-risk job working for a nut-job? Even he was offered $6M a year - why? He doesn't need the stress or the millions. He can stay at Florida for the next 5-10 years and probably win 9+ games every season with moderate stress.
Because the NFL is a better coaching gig than college because you don't have to recruit. You have more time off. Less stress. Dallas has a ton of talent. If Mullen doesn't get UF to the CFP, the pressure will be much more than what he'll feel in Dallas. Getting Dallas to the NFL playoffs will be much easier than getting UF to the CFP with UGA, LSU, and Bama in his path. And, the most important factor--EGO. If offered, it's a no-brainer for Mullen. Probably a 15% chance it happens.
