Clay Travis is an arogant fast talking know it all. He is a UT fan that hates Dooley. In the past I have agreed with Travis on some issues, but his hate for Dooley just makes him sound like an idiot right now. Love or hate Dooley, nobody could win with this team. I don't know if Dooley is going to have success, but neither does Travis. Damning him before he gets a chance is ridiculous and I would love to see how Travis talks his way out of it if Dooley is successful here.

He'll probably say "whoops, I was wrong", and that will be the end of it. Economist's projections of future economic events are only correct about 60% of the time. So what? He's not crazy about Dooley right now; you disagree; that's the fun of debate.

good post. Perhaps CT feels uneasy around someone with CDD education. I was also suprised that Will or the other guy didn't say anything else, and just moved on to the next question. I read in another thread about CT. "You can't trust those guys with 2 first names!!!"

What a surprise, a media member, if you want to call Travis that, isn't overly impressed with a staff that has had the incorrect number of players on the field 10 times through 7 games.

I agree with your point. My disgust was with his statement of being a vol fan and then proceeding to beat down the staff. He could be critical professionaly, but he sounded like a ranting child.

No, but with his ability to do damage to the program as a whole he should choose his words better. I love the vols just as much as anyone and I question why we struggle getting 11 men on the field, but I'm not going to get on the radio and spew hate towards the staff. Recruits and their parents could hear this planting the seed that Tennessee is not the school to attend. Does any idiot with more than two brain cells really believe that we need to run dooley off because that is basically what clay travis is saying. This is the worst talent level of any Tennessee team I have witnessed in 30 years of watching the vols. This staff needs time just to get us back to middle of the road in the sec.

Saban got bashed twice as bad when he left Miami high and dry and three times worst when he lost to La Monroe. And Saban finished with the number one class at Bama at the end of the year. When are fans going to realize that what 'some guy' says on the radio/tv/internet had ZERO impact on recruiting.

ok, now take a look at Art Evans getting roasted by Jones last week, does that mean he's gonna be a horrible player in the future for UT??? Point is that Evans will grow and learn as a player, just like the staff will learn, and grow.

Ok look I am as big a tennessee fan as anyone else, but being a fan doesn't mean I have to agree with who is hired to the coaching staff. Freedom of speech and having an opinion doesn't make him any less a fan than anyone else. A lot of people are still up in arms about this hire, just because his voice is heard beyond an internet forum doesn't make him an idiot. Funny how if he agrees with someone they love him, if he disagrees he must be an idiot.

Travis and Dooley are both lawyers. Travis attended George Washington and Vandy, Dooley attended Virginia and Georgia.
