He knows that thanks to the extension he just got and the massive covid related revenue shortfall, he's untouchable for now. He knows it's exactly NOT his neck on the line. I'm starting to think this guy is mailing it in.

This. He is banking 85K a week, basically coasting for three years. He knows he can drop back to Bama or another school as DC making north of 20K per week. He is set for life. Maybe he realizes he isn't a HC, but why in the world would he walk away from that cash teat?

Same with Fulmer. I get the sense he is cashing out a bit of what he thinks was "stolen" from him when he was invalidly terminated from his earned 'coach for life' gig. Between Fulmer and Pruitt, they draw north of 100K per week. That isn't going to change for either of them w/o outside pressure. And Fulmer has the name and the fanbase to endure a lot of pressure.

Hopefully JG comes back next year. Me and Pruitt believe his 6th year will be his best.

Expect a lot of stories in the spring about how Bailey is 'disappointing' and that #2 is 'getting it' and has 'turned the corner' and 'has emerged as a true leader'. There will be no effort whatsoever to sign a transfer, as our rivals beef up their QB position with the 4-5 transfer QB gems that always seem to go to other schools. Then, stand by on here for the k_town and other various fluffers to do their thing. Then, during the first game, #2 will throw a pick 6, fumble a couple of times, fail to understand that 5 on 2 on his weak side is something he should probably audible out of, and finally throw a 600mph fast ball into the feet of his receiver standing 3 feet away.

We will then open the debate on here, while JP assures us that #2 gives us 'our best chance to win'.
