It had a bad 15 year run, started by a terrible, terrible hire. A coach leaving in the middle of a rebuilding program after not getting along with the AD, a coach was consistenly putting in the tourney that couldn't get along with the AD, and a yes man who knew almost nothing about basketball.

Before Wade Houston, the basketball program was a solid program. Houston really hurt the program. And Green was doing fine. Bad coach, but still, getting us to the tourney every year is good. Then he was fired for being an *******.

Since Ray Mears, we never had a program this good until Pearl came. And I remember the teams we had. Green came the closest, but he's a misanthropic, schizophrenic human being, that ruined his chance to retire here with his baiting of the fan base and the fact that he couldn't win a big game if his life depended on it. So while I see the reason for Pearl to go, I sure am not going to be dancing in the street like HatVol and the other Pearl haters here. Nor do I think we are going to open the coffers and get some great name to come here either. We were fortunate to get Pearl when we got him and I'm thankful for the years. Time to go back to being a men's football and a women's basketball school again.
