New York City

There were no "solid balls of ice" involved here, just a couple feet of the most powdery snow imaginable. Elite snow day tbh
Honest question, if one of those „snowballs“ was thrown at and hit Mamdani, and he had to be treated for facial lacerations, would the culprit have been detained? We all know what the answer to that is now don’t we?

I was curious so I did a quick search.

I cannot verify obviously but this case appears to have some indicators that it may be legitimate, surely it can be researched.

West Bank
In August 2019, the Palestinian Authority announced that LGBTQ groups were forbidden to meet in the West Bank on the grounds that they are "harmful to the higher values and ideals of Palestinian society". This was in response to a planned conference in Nablus by Al-Qaws, a Palestinian LGBTQ group.[15][16][17] Following backlash, the ban was later withdrawn.[18]

In October 2022, Palestinian police arrested a suspect who beheaded a 25-year-old male Palestinian, Ahmad Abu Murkhiyeh, who was seeking asylum in Israel "because he was gay." At the time, it was reported that 90 Palestinians who identified with the LGBTQ community lived "as asylum seekers in Israel".[19][20]
That’s the one @Orangeslice13 came up with too. Was he killed for being gay or for working with the Israelis? If it was for being gay then the count is at one. Which is one too many but doesn’t fit the ‘they execute people for being gay’ narrative.

Lol
I’m sitting doing PNLs and an email notification pops up from VN and I’m thinking “what did I say in the New York Thread recently?, I can’t think of anything……”

So…… it was my experience when we were there helping out that the pressure on homosexuals to seek asylum was more from unofficial sources if it came from Hamas/PA or just thuggery. Mainly the Government of Gaza/West Bank just looks the other way as people are terrorized.

But we’ve talked that to death in other places. Beyond the context I just added I’m not sure there’s much more to say.

Yes, we do. Zohran would never have someone arrested for hitting him with a snowball

Not sure, I didn't find many examples but Islam doesn't have a reputation for being kind to gay people, maybe people aren't very comfortable being out on most Islamic countries.

I haven't traveled to any so I can't say with certainty

If republicans show up in mass to throw snowballs at their mayor, will you continue defending it as a “snowball fight”, or would that be assault?
It's "en masse," that's not what happened at all as the cops showed up to a snowball fight already happening, and yes if they throw snowballs at a scheduled snowball fight it would still be a snowball fight. Conservatives are asking Zohran to ban snowball fights now which is hilarious. It really is like the "assault" with a sandwich in DC

So you are not going to answer the question that was asked above?? 🤔

So throwing sandwiches and snowballs at him would be acceptable behavior and you would not advocate any charges against anyone who did so?

If he got hit with snowballs at a snowball fight or got hit with a Subway sandwich, no, I wouldn't advocate charges. Every time he announces a remote learning day or other non-snow day he invites the kids to throw snowballs at him

thats not a glass house Christians want to stand in.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say to persecute Jews. Jesus definitely didn’t say to. Islam, on the other hand……

“Allah’s Messenger said, “The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. ‘O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.’”
(Sahih Bukhari 4:52:177; see also Sahih Bukhari 4:52:176; Sahih Muslim 41:6985)[1]

„Christians“ who have persecuted Jews have done so based on their own warped prejudices; not the authority of scripture
