Fury as New York prosecutors DROP Looting Charges against HUNDREDS arrested during riots last summer - with Manhattan DA 'too busy building his case against Trump'

Business owners and residents in New York City are expressing fury at the revelation that prosecutors have dropped looing and rioting charges against hundreds arrested during chaos that swept the city last summer.

After 603 were arrested in Manhattan and the Bronx during the most intense days of looting last June, 295 of the cases have been dropped completely, according to NYPD data reported by WNBC-TV on Friday.

Now Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr and Bronx DA Darcel D. Clark are facing tough questions about why hundreds walked free after the looting rampage caused an estimated tens of millions in damages.

Illegal party continues in crime-plagued Washington Square Park as NYPD cops fail to impose midnight closing time a night after bloody stampede

Illegal raves continued in crime-plagued Washington Square Park last night as New York City cops failed to impose a midnight closing time after a bloody stampede last week.

Revellers gathered around thundering sound systems for another night of drinking and smoking marijuana despite a police order to close the park after people ran away from a man who was brandishing a knife and a taser on Friday night.

Manhattan City Council Candidate Caught with Dominatrix in leaked Video

It’s a late-breaking case of electoral bondage.

Zack Weiner, 26, a City Council candidate running in Manhattan, has found his campaign tied up after video of him enjoying a sadomasochism session found its way onto Twitter.

“My magnificent domme friend played with Upper West Side city council candidate Zack Weiner and I’m the only one who has the footage,” reads a tweet from the anonymous account which posted the video last week.

The footage — flagged to The Post by Weiner’s own campaign manager — shows a gagged Weiner, unable to speak, subjecting himself to various abuses by a leather-bound woman who pours wax on him and clips his nipples with clothespins.

Sure win now. His voter base will eat that up.

Shocking surveillance footage captured the moment two young children were trampled by a man as he tried to escape from a shooter who fired nearly a dozen bullets in the middle of a Bronx street and pointed his gun at the terrified kids.

The NYPD released the video on Friday afternoon and asked for the public's help in identifying the gunman in the latest of nearly 150 shootings across the city this month.

Potential Return of Cop-Killer Black Liberation Movement shocks experts

washington-square-park-protest.jpg

About 30 protesters against the curfew police actions in Washington Square Park demonstrate outside at Bleecker and Carmine streets.

A Washington Square Park agitator’s claim this week to be a member of the Black Liberation Movement shocked law enforcement experts already troubled by escalating violence in the green space and anti-cop sentiment across the city.

“Uh-oh, the Black Liberation Movement is not what you want to hear. This is bad,” Manny Gomez, a former NYPD officer and FBI agent, told The Post. “These are anarchists and they’re getting more and more brazen.”

The Black Liberation Movement, or Black Liberation Army, was a violent branch of the Black Panther Party in the 1970s blamed for the execution of more than a dozen cops around the country, including four New York City officers in 1971 and 1972.

CNN spent two nights on patrol with the NYPD. Here's what they told us about spiking crime in the city - CNN

The jump in crime in New York City has also coincided with changes to policing and the justice system. New York enacted bail reform to reduce or eliminate jail time for suspects while awaiting trial for many misdemeanors and nonviolent felonies. Police say this has had the unintended consequence of putting repeat offenders back on the street.

CNN seems shocked at this....f#####g dummies.

PICTURED: Harlem gang member, 27, with FIVE Priors as he is arrested for Bronx shooting that nearly killed siblings five and 13

A Harlem gang member with five prior arrests including one as recent as 2020 has been arrested for the Bronx shooting last week that nearly killed a brother and sister aged five and 13.

Michael Lopez, 27, was taken into custody on Friday morning in connection with the June 17 shooting.

Police records viewed by DailyMail.com reveal he is a member of the Make it Happen Boyz gang - a street gang in Harlem.

His priors include attempted murder, robbery, conspiracy, criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful disclosure of intimate images but somehow, he was not in custody.

It's unclear why he was not in custody or what the status of any of those other criminal cases is.

Rep. Bowman has previously accused cops of being agents of "white supremacy."

Defund for thee, but not for me.

Freshman U.S. Rep. Jamaal Bowman — a champion of defunding cops who claims policing is rife with “white supremacy” — asked for and received a special police detail to guard his Yonkers home in the days following the Jan. 6 Capitol Hill insurrection, The Post has learned.
