Tennessee is like an Alabama or Penn State, we dont really change our tradition a lot especially our jerseys. Tennessee will probably never go back to black no matter how bad we want it. the reason is that i heard that a lot of boosters got really pissed off about it. its not a bad thing being traditional, its just how we are. The power T is one of the most iconic logos in college football history. when people see it they see us. No one will ever dare to try to change that T, or they would be fired the next week. i would love to see some new stuff maybe like Kentucky, stuff on the shoulder. i liked the rocky top under shirts. but we will never bring back the black jerseys... sorry guys

Yes and Bama has no problems bringing in recruits despite never changing their unis. I know a lot of that has to do with the coach (name withheld). I think teams like Arizona, Arizona St, Maryland, etc. are showing signs of desperation by creating alt unis. I give Oregon a pass because they're Nike's guinea pig. I also give Army & Navy a pass too because their unis matched what the service members are wearing in garrison. Of course I'm hypocritical because I want checkerboard britches but that's kind of traditional without being traditional.

But have you seen Clemson's solid orange unis? Atrocious.

If we must deviate from the norm, I'd prefer something solid white. Excuse the poor execution on this image, but something like:

Very good call actually. I am 100% on board with all white uni's as well.

The more teams that come out with ridiculous looking uniforms the better the few traditional ones will look. I'll stay with traditional even if our traditional look has evolved a bit over the years. Nike battle unis...no thanks!

Perhaps not. A ceramic orange dog, orange pants, an onside kick early in the 1st quarter (Cincinnati), a mountain hike trip all points to Dooley willingness to unorthodoxy. However, I don't think he will rent a chopper to land by a field during a high school game for recruiting purposes. He'll try new things but not get too crazy with it.
