New tennessee tradition

I heard that we're also going to have a Smokey Mtn Eagle fly into the stadium as the T opens up.......... and Hambone's naming some plot of land The Lawn.......

Your not a student so I dont expect you to understand, but when we are paying thousands of dollars a semester in order to go to UT, and then they put a worthless piece of metal up in the middle of one of the prettiest places on campus, its pisses us off a little bit.

when they were pouring the concrete, it kind of looked like it was going to be a fountain, which would have been nice... I want to know how they got the cockroach to stand still long enough to weld/glue all that together...

I am a student and I hate it but it cost the university anything. A secret donar donated $250,000 and paid for it to be put there. The people in the Deans office hate it just as much as the students do. They are pissed because the original plan was for it to be in the Melrose courtyard and then the secret donar *****ed about it and so now its there.

Has $250,000 EVER been more poorly spent? Haven't been on that part of campus since last football season so I had no idea, but that thing looks AWFUL.

Please don't. I was commissioned by the Hill's to create a piece that captured the essence of Robert Hague's brilliant mind and artistic beauty. It will only shame you if you shame me.

I disagree wholeheartedly. The Salute to the Hill is viewed by 50,000 people week-in and week-out.

The salute to the hill is awesome, and I love our band dont get me wrong, but envision the salute to the hill occuring after 1/4 of the band came from the hill, another 4th from the strip, another 4th from phillip fulmer way, and the last 4th from andy holt. . . thats basically what Auburn has each week.

The first attempt at starting this tradition was humble to say the least, but its a start. . . will be happening again next week after we beat the Bruins.

The guy with the back pack on decided he should clean it up all himself.
