I have a job interview coming up next week. It is by far the most professional job I have ever interviewed for. BY FAR.

I would like to look good for the interview, but I do not own nor have I ever owned a suit. I know it is something everyone should own at least one of, but funds are a big part of the reason I am looking for a job and other things have been more pressing than purchasing one in the past.

Where is the place you have found a decent looking suit at a mediocre price tag? Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

I was hoping to save the money for a fitted suit, but time (interview is Wednesday) and money will not allow at the moment. I was not expecting to hear back from this company, but I did so my timeline is accelerated.

You should never go all out on a suit for an interview. If you get the job, that's when you buy the nice stuff. Honestly I bought one suit from JC Penny's, not high end but its the most I've spent.

Now my advice, and this might sound stupid, but go to all the thrift shops in your area. I've found really really nice items for great prices and way better than anything I've spent full price on. Take your time, go to all the stores in your area and you will find something and you'll be glad that you didn't spend a fortune.

Thanks. I may look into that. My buddy at work mentioned the same about a thrift store.
