New student section?

That's a good question. I have tickets for row 4 in section GG. I know the whole stadium is Vol owned, but are these good seats with the rearrangement?

Endzone up to band and all the way to section c I think which is like up to 35 yard line. Technically still not behind opponent team since they are 35 to 35 or 30 to 30 whatever it is. So as I understand it basically just slide the student section down to start in section c

If on the right side of the old section looking at the field, those a pretty good seats.

Last I heard they are still in D-K(not sure on K) in the lower level. Upper level is the same for students. However, SEC rules state student sections cannot be within 25(check me on that #) rows of opposing team benches. So, in sections D & E students will have seats starting on the 25th row. Kinda sucks, but that sounds like what is going to happen.

OK, so if SEC rules state that then what about our out of conference games? Should the seats be closer for games like Oregon or UT-Martin?

they won't be dynamic like that because where students used to sit were sold as season tickets. student sections will be in same seats for all games

I have sat in section G for years now the student section didn't show up much last year. heart breaking

You can blame student ticket prices for that. This year they will all be $10, which is better than last year when the games were either $10 or $20. Seriously, the only thing keeping students from going to football games is $$$. What else are we going to do on a saturday in the fall in knoxville?? I'm at every home game regardless of price, however. Well, to a certain point at least.:good!:

I wish my tickets was 10 I would bring the family. Maybe after the first couple of road games this year they will be.

seems like those early (12:30 kickoff) games are tough for the students to make it on time. I've never been able to figure out why.

Go tell that to LSU, Florida, and Penn State amongst others.

They don't seem hard pressed for students at games, and they all charge at least that much.

Students are like everybody else, its all a function of the product on the field.

A. I think it was a sound financial decision to start charging for student tickets. 10-20 bucks a game is beyond a good deal.

B. His worst decision at this point was how he handled Fulmer after 2005.

They are directly in the sun and against lesser opponents almost all of the time. They should sell them as tanning bed seats. The Pearl family would show up. Some don't want to go, some just don't show up and some have other things to do. It isn't just the students though. If the students don't buy all of their seats then they are opened up to other fans...

I graduated in 1976 and I honestly can't remember if we paid for tickets or if they were included in the activity fees. I do remember having to camp out for the big games. This much I know, today's students complaining about the tickets costing $10 is a crock of ****. I would have thought $10 a ticket was a bargain in 1976, when the average salary was $10,000 a year.
