This is basically Low's article off of ESPN. It doesnt directly state there will be new charges it states that there is a possibility.

Nothing new in the story. It's by Beth Rucker out of Chatt, I think. It says charges are pending further investigation. I think we all knew that. Only thing new is Robert Capouellez's condition is listed as stable as of today.

you must be reading this differently than I am. I read it as if the investigation turns up anything there may be additional charges. Nothing different than every other article written

"We still have some additional interviews that we need to do, and (additional) charges are pending the conclusion of that investigation," DeBusk said.

you have much more faith in the local Knox media than anyone else does. They'll "break" the story once someone gives it to them

I hope he recovers fully.

"more charges are pending" just doesn't sound as promising as "more charges may be filed". jmo, but i think it's going to get worse before it gets better. I think we've seen all the minor charges, ie. resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, but will have the bigger ones coming soon. Could be aggravated assault etc.

Does this mean the bleeding on the brain has stopped?

It didn't say. This is the first update I've seen on the condition. KnoxNews hasn't updated their story since Saturday night. So, it looks like, at least Rucker made a phone call to check on him.

I seriously doubt his status would be updgraded to stable if he still had intracranial bleeding. I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Thanks, my holiday inn magic dust has worn off i haven't stayed there in a few years.
I just didn't want to make an erroneous assumption that the officer was making progress.

Yep, they don't break anything, just gather the info from across the country and publish it all together.... Just easier than going to 100 diff websites

Interesting to hear that the officer injured is doing better. The local news said that nothing has been released on his condition since Saturday. I hope the improvement is truth, and not just an internet rumor.

His condition was either serious or critical. I can't remember which and really don't have time to look at the moment(workin) but i know for sure he wasn't in stable condition.

There is a lot of conflicting info out there. I just went to a few different sites and one reported that he was released Friday. Another site, said that his condition was upgraded Friday or Saturday and moved to a room. And, yet another, still has him in serious condition. I have no idea.

I thought of that too. It's possible that the USA Today reporter got her info from an outdated source since a nursing administrator mistakenly reported him as being stable and having returned home already.

Officer still in serious condition GoVolsXtra
