The Volunteers across the front could be slightly bigger and maybe a shade lighter to stand out more...or be a muted orange.

They tried to do something weird with the helmet...it seems like it fades from back to front to match both the jersey and pants. Not sure it works.

My take, it's kind of like those cooking shows you watch where everything SEEMS like it would go together, but then the plate gets to the judges and they are like, none of this fits.

I think it would have worked better if they had started dark at the bottom of the pants then carried the fade all the way up to the helmet. Keep all the design elements and possibly make the helmet a matte finish.

It’s a little too Oklahoma State for my liking with the two tone grey jersey and pants and the script Volunteers. Needs to be all dark grey. I liked the helmet we used in 2023 w/ the grey facemask on the helmet, that would better IMO

Wayyyy too much going on. Also kind of an odd theming for UT to have an Air National Guard uni. We’re not Air Force or Navy

Im guessing it may have something with McGhee Tyson Air Base being right in the back yard. The 134th Air wing is kind of a big deal, not just around here

These look cheap to me. In the sense that it reminds me of a toy or costume for some reason. Seems a bit childish? I can’t put my finger on it. I just don’t like them.

I think as a one time wear, they look great. Now if we break these out more than once I will feel different, but it's nice to have a uni nod to military service.

The Vols can wear pink & white with gray accents this October, and I’m still rooting for them as I always have. GBO

My wife can see 2,083 colors. I see like, 6. Plus black, white, grey and brown.

My wife can spend more than 2 hours getting dressed. Lotsa details to figure out. I can do it all in 3 minutes.

Just saying, I don't much care what we wear. As long as we're kicking butt, I'm happy.

Go Vols!

This entire "Smokey Gray" presentation feels less polished than previous iterations. The announcement, the rollout, all of it.

The black mode introductions last year were phenomenal. Other prior alternates felt more polished as well.

Don't know if this is a byproduct of the Nike to Adidas switch, or if there's just other priorities inside their media department right now, but this rollout just feels like one of those situations where someone had a vision but the effort couldn't match the vision. "Ah, this will look cool," but then you get there and shoot the b-roll and it's just not as cool as you thought - but you also can't go back and change course. I get that feeling. Well, either that or there wasn't as much or as strong a vision. Just something that needed to be done. Which is something I'd expect from other programs - not Tennessee's. To be fair, though, they have set an incredibly high bar over there. I'm not really complaining, it's just an announcement. Just feels a little off.

Not too much of a fan of this. The only saving grace I see is that it looks better than those horribly disjointed ones from last year. Aren't we switching to Adidas? Man, the very first Smokey Grays looked amazing. If they would bring a dark helma with those, then it would look amazing too

That's it...reminds me of a knock off GI Joe figure from the 80s.

As for the lighter grey pants, my guess is that’s a nod to the color of the refueling planes used by the local national guard.

I actually like them, but I'd probably try and find some leggings about the same color as the pants instead of orange.

Yeah this is a big miss for me and I've loved all the smoky greys...

except for these

Thanks Willis - pretty cool video on the photo shoot.

SO a couple of things stand out to me now that I've seen more of the uni in this video.
In the sunlight, the uniform actually looks way, way better than the X (Twitter) shots.
I see the helmet and jersey kind of blend in better, but still not a fan of the pants...should have been more of a fade there or flip the jersey and pant colors.
Last thing - wish they would have carries the Star Vols logo more / bigger.

Starting to change my mind on these...

For those old enough to remember Paul Harvey..."now you know the rest of the story"
