I thought I had read different things for a couple guys, the high school kids usually get in early. The graduate transfers a lot of time have a class they have to finish still and get here later, Barton didn't arrive til around August iirc. A guy like Mostella may have some things he has to take care of as well academically so it could delay his arrival some.

I would guess it'll be pretty staggered, but most of the high schoolers I would expect to arrive early on.

First day of full practice is September 26, 4 months from now. Can anyone explain the NCAA summer basketball program, the eight hours a week the coach can use? Is it individuals only?

I'm too lazy to read them all but noticed reading a couple of the blurbs(utsports.com) on the signees it tells which ones are coming in summer session.

2 hours of skill instruction allowed. the rest can be spent on strength and conditioning.

Right......Some of the guys are expected to report in Tuesday, 27th. I'm assuming it will be the HS and prep signees. Not sure about the Juco and grad.

Many of the football freshman are reporting on Tuesday also.

Willie Carmichael graduates Saturday, so he will be up there or on his way this time next week. :)

Willie may be one of my favorites.
Here's a kid with only 4 yrs of basketball under his belt.
Could be like fine clay in the hands of a master artist.
Not a lot of bad habits to unlearn.
Has the physical tools and he's a teachable guy. Go Willie.

I know his HS coach fairly well. His coach is a defense-first guy. He loves Willie's work ethic and his desire to continue to improve. As I have mentioned before, Willie is a high-energy guy who has a motor that doesn't stop.

I would call Willie a legit 3-star player right now, but I also expect him to improve through his time at UT. He has major upside.

Even thought it will be very early in his freshman season, I can't wait to see Willie (and the rest of the Vols) at what is now called the Orlando Classic over Thanksgiving weekend at Disney World.
