Come on Vols it is a longshot but with Crompton out of the way its possible. We must win rest of games go 6-2 in sec and florida to lose to georgia and Lsu and we are in championship

1) Crompton is not out of the picture and likely won't be
2) That's a lot of if's

...I have seen little to date that gives me much hope of such a scenario, the "winning out."

I too will cheer for us and of course against fla. geo. bama and whoever, I hope they all beat the hell out of each other.

At this moment I will be content for a win against NIU with major improvement noted on the offensive side of the ball...that would give me a little optimism about our chances with geo and bama.

If Stephens can be an average SEC QB then I like our chances to only lose 1-2 games for the rest of the year. If we stay with Crapton then we will most certainly lose to GA, bama, USC, vandy and maybe miss. st.

You can only use the "us against the world" crap so many times. We already tried that against Florida and that worked out just great.

Not to mention it's a huge if, because not only are you asking the Vols to win AT Georgia and beat Alabama at home, but assuming we win AT South Carolina and now AT Vanderbilt is kind of silly. Heck assuming a home win over Kentucky is silly to me. The only SEC team on the schedule I come close to saying is a W is Miss. St.

Here we go again,waiting for FL and GA to screw up so we can sneak in the back door. If you think the Vols are gonna go 6-2 you're freakin' nuts!

Well, you forgot to mention that Vandy has no losses in the sec and we need them to lose as well. Not to mention that we are behind Ky so there you go.

from what I saw Saturday night, as bad as I hate to say it, Bama will beat us worse than last year. Of course a couple of Ga. penalties helped. They came out with their hair on fire. Boy I miss the days when we did. Not to mention the dawgs are gonna be out to prove something after the last 2 years, not to mention saturday night

Yeah,they will. We simply don't match up well with them in the lines on either side of the ball. Its bad to be saying that this early in the saban era. God help us.

The less I see Crompton, the more excited I get...who knows, I may even trade in my house shoes for some flip flops and drive down to Neyland to see what's happenin.

Go Vols! Luck into the SECCG again! Pray for FL/GA to lose! Pray for missed field goals by Vandy and having to stop KY on the freakin' 3 yard line. I'm with wolfe, this is getting old fast.

I always want us to win...that will never change, but I mean I just want a freakin change in this program for the long term...I am so sick of being average

The problem with the "if" mentality when you are 1-3 is that your "destiny" rides on the misfortune of others. It is nice to control your own destiny and not build a house of cards on what could happen.

I'm sick of having to have the freakin' planets lined up and the moon in the right place overhead for us to get to the SECCG. Why can't we just have the talent, desire, and ability to win on our own. I hate having to back our rears into everything lately. Remember when we didn't have to say ''If this, if that, if that again, then that, and if that then does that, then this that is that those and these are the way and them, THEN we'll get to the SECCG.
