I want to thank everybody (that understood the mission) for hosing up Bammer's little poll. Well done.

We are as good or better than 11 of the teams on our schedule.

Making room for a letdown game, i say 10-2.

Keep dreaming. That sentiment seems to be going around, but every other team that plays Tennessee has recruited also. People are quick to point out how amazing Tennessee has done in the off-season, and neglect to acknowledge what teams like Oklahoma, Georgia, Alabama have had in place and what they're adding.

8 wins tops in reg season.

8 tops? You really don't think UT has the talent to pull out another win or two and maybe defeat a couple teams which are clearly not all that far ahead talent wise?

I say 9 wins is a good season. 8 would be disappointing in my mind. We are talented enough to compete (**even defeat) with every team we play.

I like the comment in the green about the older Bama fans hating Tennessee more than Auburn. To me, that's the way it's suppose to be.

My dad went to Alabama. Its true about the older fans, but only because they refuse to acknowledge
that Auburn even exists.

Not trying to be morbid here, but at my dad's funeral several of his old friends and fraternity brothers
showed up. In the receiving line Mrs H approached my daughter, and asked...

Catherine, are you going to school somewhere?
Yes ma'am, I'm at Auburn.
Now honey, where is that? :eek:lol:

It was much needed comic relief.

I'm just not sure that hatred is the right word to use in describing the emotions associated with either side as it pertains to The Third Saturday in October. Going all the way back to Neyland and Bryant, there was tremendous respect associated with this rivalry. Both considered the game to be the true measuring stick of their respective programs. It has historically been a fiercely contested rivalry and it might very well be accurate to see that it was the one game that you most wanted to win, whether you were of a crimson persuasion or orange-blooded, but I am not sure that hatred is the most accurate descriptor. We most definitely do not like each other but I believe that old-time fans on both sides of the divide begrudgingly respect what the other has achieved over the years.

I'm going with 9-3 regular season. Finishing up 10-3 with the Bowl win. If we do win the east I'll add the loss in SEC champ game. Total 10-4

No secret, I've been ramming home for a while now...I think 8 regular wins/Bowl game making 9 wins total, it's not enough to take the east. but it will be close. Just so you guys know, I've always been one game high, so that makes me nervous.

I am not exactly sure what link I picked on to get to this page but here is an article from SB Nation discussing Vols football win/loss for 2015.

The article is petty straight up and predicts we win 8 games losing to AR, GA, AL, and Mizzou.

Predicting the 2015 SEC Football Season: Tennessee Vols - Roll 'Bama Roll

If you are in for a good laugh read all of the comments on the article, they are enlightening to say the least.

Here is a sample of the comments: "Is it almost time to start hating UT again? They have been so pathetic, it was worth saving my hate for another team, like Ole Miss. They were much easier to hate when Fatimous was coaching choir boys/murders like Goodrich and the other guy that killed the woman in St Louis while driving drunk. Can I start hating on them already?"

It is truly amazing that Bama fans can have selective memory, Fulmer (aka Fatimous) Owned Alabubba while he was coaching.

The other truly amazing thing I noticed in the comments was that Spurrier "took games off" and that is the only reason we were able to win those games. How about two sacks in a row in overtime to push the Gamecocks out of field goal range.

Haha...yeah, he took the night off while hanging 42 points and 600+ yds on a top 40 defense nationally. Some people are just too lazy and too intellectually dishonest to just give credit where it's due.

Going 8-4 with those four SEC losses would put us #3 in the SECe and #10 in the SEC, most likely. That would be disappointing.

8 and 4 would be a major step in the right direction, i dont see how the fan base could expect much more maybe 9 if we get lucky, i get tired of saying wait till next year and that we are a young team, but the real truth is we are still a young team, but this time with a lot of talent 16 is the year we WIN the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP and compete for a playoff spot, but we could go 8 and 4 and be a very good football team by the end of the season top 15.:clapping::

Truthfully though, I thought SOS screwed the pooch when he called a pass play on 1st down in OT. We had not done a particularly good job most of the night stopping the run, and at the very worst SC wanted to keep itself in range for a FG to send it to a 2nd OT in the event they couldn't score a TD. I thought it was a major mistake by SOS, same as I thought he screwed up badly in the SC-UK game when he abandoned the run even though Davis/Wild were running the ball down UK's throat.

I'm thinking 9-3 regular season, 9-4 overall. Too many good players will get injured during Oct. Losses to AL, AR, & Mizzou. Mizzou will be bc Dormady can't handle the pressure and the complex D. Gonna be another squeaker against Vandy

If by squeaker you mean 50-something to less than 15, I agree completely with your last line.

I agree with 9-3 being quite likely, as well, though far from a lock. Don't like the idea of 9-3 --> 9-4 after a bowl game...we gotta keep the intense focus through bowl season from here on out...Butch & Co get that.

Don't think Dormady will be the guy in the Mizzou game. Think Dobbs is gonna be just fine through the October gauntlet and well into November.

But most of all, oh heck no on the Vandy game...50+ to 15-, mark it down please. :good!:

Oct. 24 at Alabama - L - Nick Saban is 8-0 vs. the Orange.

This is a poor argument. Does this mean we will never be able to beat Nick Saban?
