New poll: its Newt's turn ....

Thought this was an interesting retort from Newt...

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich fired back at Mitt Romney this morning after the former Massachusetts Governor criticized Gingrich for his earnings as a consultant for Freddie Mac.

"I would just say if Gov. Romney would like to give back all the money he has earned from bankrupting and laying off employees over his years at Bain (Capital) then I would be glad to then listen to him, and I bet you $10 -- not $10,000 -- that he wouldn’t take the offer," Gingrich, who vowed to stay "positive" during his campaign, told reporters following a town hall in Londondarry.

As Good Ol' J.R. would say I think "business is about to pick up".

Most definitely. The Romney machine is about to go into overdrive now that conservatives are coalescing behind Newt and the polls are turning ugly.

Plus it's physically impossible for Newt to keep his mouth shut.Z

Yeah I agree and really im a little shocked he has done this well so far but I have a feeling all of that is about to change. Newt will speak his mind before long im sure which I don't blame him because the man is getting attacked from the left right up and down so you really can't blame him I guess.

Theroblem is going to be Newt's ground game. He's a completely national phenomenon without much in the way of state by state organization. maybe the money will start to roll in, but i think he's going to have to go it alone in Iowa and NH.

Agreed. I think that will be a problem also if the $$$ doesn't start to roll in, but if he takes Iowa and NH. then I think the big bucks will start flowing in.

Newt made $100 million off of being a disgraced former speaker, almost ousted by his own party. Imagine the enormous chunk of change and all the Tiffany crap he can buy with it if he's the disgraced GOP nominee? Gonna' take a helluva lot more than $1 million to buy him off this time.

Newt just showed all traditional conservatives his true colors.
