I like the new fake field goal rule. Too easy to abuse the old one.
And I would like to believe that the new ejection rule for coaches was influenced by Muschamp's total meltdown during the Iron Bowl.
I read it a couple of times and I still don't get it. I guess I'll have to see it to understand it.
The way the article worded it was kinda weird. Essentially, teams can't try to pull the trick where the punter is a few yards closer to the LOS so that he has a head start on running the ball AND the punter (or PK on FGs) has to at least give the impression that he's going to kick it. If either of those things doesn't happen, then the team cannot take advantage of the numbering exception, and at least five linemen must be wearing #s 50-79, and they would thus be ineligible receivers.
