New offensive style

What would it take to ditch this offensive system? Even when it works perfect (see Iowa OR NW) It still isn't not fun to watch or terribly effective against SEC opponents.

Nobody really knows what this system is. Read offense with no reading. Power running from the shotgun. Slow developing dives plays with no blocking. Shotgun on the goal line.
