New Offensive Lineman?

295 is not good enough in the SEC, or do I need to remind you of the 2017 roster when freshman Trey Smith was our biggest lineman at 320? That line, was across the board terrible.
And somehow our 2018 line was even worse. I think that's alot of what happened to JG, he was broken mentally as a quarterback by playing as an underclassman behind those lines.

20 lbs of muscle/month? If it can be done I'm sure it's not good for the organs.

High amounts of whey protein can be dangerous on the liver especially if taken over long periods of time. It’s why fatty liver is fairly common in body building. I stopped consuming whey protein a few years ago and just try to stick to a clean, protein and potassium rich diet and have maintained pretty well. Healthier in the long-run but I’m not really trying to build at this point in my life.

Tennessee needs to be like Nebraska under Tom Osborne and make huge offensive lineman out of tiny or medium size offensive linemen.

A 295 lb lineman at the beginning of the season won't be 295 at the end.

We've already played that game before with trying to field an undersized oline in the SEC, and we don't have a Josh Dobbs on the roster to make it even remotely feasible.

Hooker is a true DT. And 295 is really close to 300. It’s not like the guy is 270 trying to put on weight.

Whey protein is trash. Red meat is a much better protein source and much healthier.

Some people do really well with red meat. I tried to go full paleo (mostly red meat) several years ago but ended up in the hospital with stomach ulcers. Took 18 months to fully recover from that experience but I learned that my body does not do well with red meat. As far as protein I’ve learned to stick with eggs, chicken, salmon and beans.

Looking at that kids frame he can easily put on 30 to 35 pounds between now and the end of his freshman year and add another 15 to 20 by the time he’s a junior or senior. Proper diet and being a gym rat does wonders.
