I saw that too. It started with an "E". It looked German to be honest. I have no idea who it was.

Corey Eicholtz is right. Was 47 I believe. He had a couple tackles against USCjr on special teams. My fiance's family and his family are friends so that's my "inside" source. Jealous Hyams?

Wearing #1 last night I believe was Corey eicholtz and he was a captain last night. He had two solo tackles last week on special teams and evidently is doing well in practice to get that number. He was a wide receiver at Bearden High School Class of 2008.

I was in the locker room the South Carolina week and they had somewhere around 108 - 110 guys names on the lockers. Some of those actually were listed with say number 104. Some of these guys who had the numbers on their lockers in the 100s likely were given number 1 and number 27 so they could dress out for homecoming. Doesn't answer your question but provides maybe a little insight.

I know I was a little loopy last night, but I swear I dont remember this guy being a captain. Am I wrong to assume that the captains are the guys at the coin toss?

In Kenbrell's pic it showed that he was wearing #2, and it would be open next year so why did he want #1.

hope we dont turn into a school who issues the same number to two differrent players... like bama and cal... just seems redundant.

Everybody's right. It was Eicholtz (Bearden kid) and he was wearing #1. He was announced as a captain, but I think he was actually standing a few steps behind Hardesty, Berry, Nick, and Crompton when the coin was tossed.

Roster had him listed wearing whatever number tabrams said (38, maybe?) but whatever number it was is also Flemings #.

I graduated from Bearden a while back, as did the two guys to my left and a girl on the row behind us, so there was much discussion about this.
