How can you not say Saban is a better recruiter? Cheater=Recruiter these days at major programs period.

Alabama Recruits itself. NIL has taken that Advantage away from the Program. Saban is a good recruiter in that he is a Good coach and has a staff that is capable.
What we are witnessing is that Tennessee is catching up with the Bigs. NIL has some affect on it, Coach Heuple can relate to players and pitch his plan with Personality and personal connection THRU his knowledge and accomplishments.

His First year success was a blessing and his Offense is futuristic and exciting. Plus he has a great mind to go with his Personality which is what Players are thriving for in this day and age. No longer just a player it goes deeper with CJH.

We need pace depth on the Defense and once accomplished this team is going to be hard to beat. Playing the odds we get there faster than most think.

Bama has paid more than other schools cause Saban’s buddy (Emmert) looked the other way. I wouldn’t say Saban is a better recruiter. Just paid more. Pruitt was paying $500.00 from his own pocket. Saban and Smart were paying pre NIL $150,000 and furnishing cars for five stars according to Rush Propst. You can argue that Propst is not credible but he said that in a private discussion that was recorded. So I believe him.

All things equal, Saban is THE elite recruiter but that has never really gone to the litmus test with his last two college gigs being the bag machines of LSU and Bama. LSU doesn’t necessitate it as much as Bama. They will always draw athletes. But Saban built Bama with archaic transfer restrictions and pennies on the dollar compensation to recruits…that no one else could replicate outside his protective bubble…save UGA, tOSUand to some extent Clemson. But those other programs had far superior homes than TUSCALOOSA. Playing nice and having to keep backups on his roster involved isn’t his strong suit. Snatch and stow worked for 7 NC’s…the thread is getting bare.

I don’t think you understand business. When you can outbid your competition with no fear from Sankey or Emmert to get players you are neither a salesman or recruiter. You are an order taker. Technically you are correct that most major programs cheat but not to the degree that Saban did. Hugh Freeze tried and Saban ran to his buddy Emmert. End of Hugh Freeze.

That legislation is getting yucky for schools. I like NIL. I don't like profit sharing.
