New Nike uni's?

You people are way to concerned about uniform changes...if you build a team they will ALWAYS come...crazy uniform changes are embraced by the same people who like "metro" clothing for men...I just can't get excited about fashion design in college football.

I don't agree or disagree, but kids like different things these days. Times seem to have changed. I've Never cared for flashy, but if it helps in recruiting why not use it.

Your point is taken. Ignorant, but taken. You now have no reason to ever click on this thread as long as you live.

How do you know that the ones that were posted are better than what we are getting? Have you seen the mock ups? Not doubting you, I'm just curious.

Pretty sure DP12 has seen at least a mockup, given where he works. He's the one that called it out ("better than what we're actually getting") when I posted the mockups that SDS did.

If Nike can't duplicate what UT had with Adidas the last two seasons, then why did UT switch to Nike?

Why would UT want their new branding to try and replicate their old brand?

You miss the point.

It has nothing to do with three stripes or a swoosh, but rather the fit, look and comfort of UT's uniforms with Adidas. The last two seasons they were really sharp.

I hopeful that Nike can duplicate that but after seeing some other teams that have Nike. I very skeptical. We will see what they come up with but the initial reports aren't encouraging.

This is a message board of opinions. Grow up and stop your name calling.

I didn't call anyone a name. I am tired of people clicking on threads just to inform everyone involved in the discussion that they are foolish for being interested and invested in the topic. If someone disagrees, that's fine, but speak for yourself and don't tell everybody else how they should feel or what they should think.

Well said, gunner. I apologize. I misunderstood your point.

I know, that's why I was asking. I just figured it was pointless to ask for specifics but thought maybe he could toss us a bone on what he has seen and dislikes.

I actually think the Nike jerseys look cheaper in quality but that's jmo. I'm actually excited for this Nike switch mostly for the fan gear. Nike's is so much better looking IMO.

I have always thought the Nike pants looked cheaper and way thinner. Bad especially for our white pants because when some teams wear their whites they are way too thin especially if it rains. Ugh

All I was saying then when I was "grumbling" is that switching to Nike isn't going to be the cure-all that people think it will be.

Some oranges will not match. Some gear will still be available only to players and not to fans. Some uniforms will have issues. Some will look good, some will look bad, just like now. Nike does not have the magic wand that people think.

I'm not happy or angry about the change, it doesn't matter to me what brand we wear. Every manufacturer has their issues. I certainly haven't liked everything Adidas has put out, and it had nothing to do with the three stripes logo. But I also won't like blindly love everything Nike puts out just because there's a swoosh on it.

People blamed Adidas for our oranges not matching (when they do), but don't say a damn thing when Alabama has the same problem with their colors even though they have Nike. As you've said all the time, different materials show up differently when reacted on by sweat and when viewed underneath different lighting.
