New night shift thread

was just letting you know I saw it. Appreciate the compliment....I think

I really am sorry about derailing that thread. I try not to do that anymore. :hi: At least during the daytime when people actually want to discuss the topic at hand.:)

Arguing about Hunter laying down, and playing like a scared *itch last year. I don't like it, and they evidently don't have a problem with it.

He played like he had a multimillion dollar career riding on him staying healthy. Nobody can blame him for playing a little reserved.

I'm sorry Sam, but I can and do blame him. If you are going to put on the orange, give it your all. I risked my life for a whole lot less than that. People keeps on saying it is allright, but honestly do you really want to go watch somebody lay down? It costs me a couple hundred bucks to drive up and support the team when I can. I expect them to play like I would. And yes I do know what I would do. Like I said I have been risking my life and health for a few million less.

I drop 1k every time I go up there. I expect the same as you. I stay out of the ff. I read. But post very little.

I would not expect him to risk a future of tens of millions of dollars in order to make a few extra plays in a throw away season at a school where he is not being paid anything. Yes he gets an education, but that is pennies in value compared to the millions in revenue earned by his efforts for the university. Not to mention he had already suffered one season ending injury (which may have hurt his stock). I am squarely in his corner for playing it safe.

And as far as risking your life for less than that, that is your own value judgement that you make on your own terms. Nobody would blame you if you decided one day that the risk was no longer worth it.

Then he should have declared for the draft. And a free 4 year education is a huge deal to me. I have 3 kids going to school now. It really shocks me you feel this way. Would it be alright if everybody on the team played that way? Do you remember the scene in Braveheart, when Robert the Bruce said that it was understandable for the nobles to be hesitant to fight the English, because it was "much to risk"? Wallace asked him "does the common man risk less?"

He was not yet able to declare before last season. And sometimes it is necessary to look out for numero uno. If he had sustained a Tyrone Prothro injury last season, that would have literally cost him millions of dollars. Do you think the university would give him anything extra in appreciation of his sacrifice? I sincerely doubt it.

If he wasn't going to compete all out, he shouldn't have stepped on the field. Or at least been honest with us and the team, so they could put someone out there who would. Are you honestly ok with everybody doing this? It is against everything that team sports is supposed to be about. Money is ruining everything.

Just quit. Working gets in the way of sleep far too often. How you been Goat?

Been great Sam. Hope you have been as well.
I emailed Doyle today, and I have some sad news. This is interventions last season man. We need to catch a few, and get this thread some life.

I don't like players mailing it in their senior/junior years saving themselves for the pros. But at least my favorite team can benefit from it this time.

Maybe he shouldn't have played. Blame Dooley for playing a guy that wasn't all in. I'm fine with that. And no, I am not ok with every player doing this. But in Hunter's case, he had already blown a knee, and he was playing not to get hurt. I can understand his tendency to want to preserve his health for the next level. Not saying I liked it, just that I understand it. And if somebody offered me a garbage can full of $100 bills, I would probably do the same thing.

Yep, I'm doing quite well. Did Doyle get back to you? Wonder what he's been up to. I miss those good ol days of watching those shows. Sucks that intervention is going off. Great show.

Baby? Miscarriage.

Wife.... Good. How you been Jerry? I'm no Puber, I'm all recruiting forum. (I don't get a boner when a kid commits though) :).

Damn man I am sorry to hear that.

I'm alright, same old shizz. I glance in there to see what's up with, I rarely post in there though. I'd probably end up on vacation if I did. :)
