New night shift thread

I know. I'm just east of you in fort smith We have a similar forecast as you guys.

Just got back from digging him out so to speak. Big oak fell right across the front of his house. Had to cut the trees on the roads in just to get him too.

Pretty nasty out there today.

Sounds nasty for sure. Glad you guys made it through this round safely. Ill be keeping a eye on you guys.

I was nice enough to tell my employers I would be moving in a few weeks. So what do the jerks do? Hire some new guys, and start giving them nearly all my hours. I hope the jerks lose all their business. Being conscientious is rewarding in so many ways, but financially is not one of them. Here I am needing every hour I can get, and the jerks screw me over after all I have done for them. :banghead2:

Yep that is some horse shat. Eff those guys.

Well, debris cloud went right over my house (actually close to the whole town I'm in). Never touched down so I got lucky this time.

A lot of companies terminate immediately when you give a notice.

My attitude is, did you notice I'm not there? That's my notice.

Buuut...my problems seem small after seeing what the storms have done today. My thoughts and prayers are with them. We went through the same thing a couple of years ago here in Alabama. Hope you guys are still okay El Grande. And to answer your question from a couple of days ago...I am moving back to Tampa Bay area.

Everything in the rescue portion is over and the guys are going into recovery mode now. Saw someone say it would take up to 3-6 months just to clear debris much less begin rebuilding. Probably looking at at least two or three years before the area is even close to where it was.

Yeah it has been two years now since we got blasted here, It still looks like a war zone in some places. Now I am going back to hurricane country. I hope we don't have a repeat of 2004 down there this summer.

Glad you made it, but it sounds like it will be a long road back to normalcy. Good luck.
