Really good, my grandfather especially. I just recently shared a few boxes of pizza with him. He had to drink water, or soda due to his meds. Funny thing though, he snuck a few sips of beer. Far be it from me to tell a WWII Vet "NO". After all the man is one of my heros.
Nice! Good to see Duds. Speaking of WW2. You are lucky to have a wealth of info to tap about that time in us history. Many things I regret not asking my grandmom about that time period.
You sissy...I tore mine pulling a 750 pound roll of carpet off the back of a pickup truck.....and still laid 300 yards of carpet that day.![]()
I'm golden DUdz. I'm on workers comp, and still working. Screw WC, and sitting at home. No way a free check can match my weekly income.
I do feel lucky not only that I get to spend time with him but more importantly that he beat that damned cancer ( So far anyway).
I remember he told me when they did bomb runs that one time a bomb got hung up and he literally had to go down and kick the bomb loose.
Wild! I still to this day don't know what sets a bomb off. Is it impact ? (Obviously) but I know they don't go off on ground with a bump. I wonder if a trigger so to speak arms it AFTER the initial drop.
Well, I know for fact that the bomb he kicked loose was armed before he kicked it loose.
As for today, as far as I know, if you fly jets they are armed from the cockpit and detonate on impact as you stated.
