There were frame rate issues with the game so they toned down damage looks like they took it out to me.

1. Have you seen any lead changes between AI cars, or once an AI car gets in the lead, does it pretty much stay there?

I have seen mulitple cars fight for the lead, take different lines, and takeover the lead of a race. I have not seen any evidence of rubber band AI, or GT5 type of running 1 line. There seemed to be a lot of independant style driving from the AI.

2. Is there any jockeying for position amonst the AI cars in the pack or do they pretty much just stay in the same positions throughout the race?

Bro...AI cars were all over the place trying to fight each other for position. I would see them take the lead, fall off, fight their way back up....all different scenario's,

few things of concern;

-"I started my career without changing any difficulty or handling options and breezed through qualifying with a staggering lap time. This domination continued in the first race where after we hit the starting line, I never saw my opponents again. In addition to this domination, with the default handling I never even had to brake."

-The less realistic elements come in the form of drafting. Cars in front of you stream giant animated wind lines that if you drive in them will fill your draft meter...You can turn this animation off, but the use of the meter as a consistent way to propel your way forward felt like a game trick. IN addition, whichever racer is closest to you in the standings gets labeled as your Rival and a giant icon over their car is present in all races."

He also mentioned that while you didnt see a lot of damage during the actual wreck, you saw a massive amount during automatic replay right after the wreck and after the replay was done, the damage was very noticeable. I do understand them toning it down during the actual gameplay to avoid framerate issues which he says are very nice and he doesnt notice any issues at all with it.

Eutechnyx's really give's the driver/player so many options that you can configure this game down to the smallest of detail, and make it drive how you pretty much want it to.

This game looks wonderful and drives great but it is a complete fail if your buying it to go online and race. When you run races online there is any ai cars involved. If you want the game for Single Player it might be ok for MP it is ****.

You will not see Cat come in here and post because he is heartbroken a this moment. Btw in 25 lap race at Bristol i lapped it 12 times.

2 player split screen?

hate to hear the online is trash, but i may consider it for my son and myself if it has this.

I love the game personally. Do I think they should have put in AI with the multiplayer? Yes, but its not that big of a deal to me because you can race with 16 users. Release day patch by the way.

16 racers on a track is not Nascar this is a fail. Unless they add MP AI it sucks you can practice online with players you can share set ups. I just dont understand how you leave this out of the game. I said that the driving is great and game looks good but you do have to set it on the hardest setting to make it playable.

Night and day also mean nothing as far as set up. Temps mean nothing they just left a lot of if it.

I only see this game being fun for a few days I dont think im gonna get it.

Finally got a chance to give this a go this morning..first couple things that stood out to me was you cant use your steering wheel to customize your car...you have to use a regular controller...second there is no latency adjustment or option to adjust your steering wheel at all like previous games..makes no sense when most people that race use racing wheels..

Oh I will...just need to get adjusted to it..Im all over the track even with the wheel...a co worker has it as well...
