This time of year, with football approaching, we always get a ton of new members joining the board or posting for the first time. This is a thread for you, our valued new members, to post and say hello. Tell us something about yourself.

I go to UT and live in the fort (well moving in on the 18th). I get to go to all the home games for free. I know you older and younger folk (or ones who don't go to UT) are very jealous =P

The Fort..that's interesting. I don't think I could handle the non-stop partying, so I'm in Crossing Place, or The Gateway now. Welcome to the board, and here's to getting free tickets! :toast:

I was born and raised in Farragut, went to UT got kicked out and joined the Navy. I graduated through them and now I'm attending Naval Post Graduate school in Monterey while working at Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography aka (FNMOC) My wife is still in the Navy and attends school there as well.

I am a grad student in geography at UT.

Don't kid yourselves guys, the tickets aren't completely free. It's a steal of a deal, but it isn't free.

wats up vol faithful....General_Neyland here...I was born and raised UT football....went to my first home game in 1975(ish)...UT played Boston College...we sat in the North Endzone on the green bleachers that used to be there....I remember freeezing my 5 yr old azz off and it was really windy....UT won and I have been a VOL fan ever since....been to alot of classic games.....saw Hershel Walker in his senior season beat UT 45-7, also saw UT upset the then #1 Auburn Tigers during Bo Jacksons senior year, we took Bo out of the game the 3rd or 4th play of the game.....was at the game we beat BAMA for the first time in years seems like we won by 1 point or it was 35-28, (either way I was lucky enough to see them both), saw us beat Notre Dame in i believe 1979, seen all the greats play, Reggie White Bill Bates, Condridge Holloway, Dale Carter, Willie Gault, Alan Cockrel, Stanley Morgan, Fuad Reviez, Johnnie Jones, Dale Carter, Peyton of course and ther are to many to name.....Like so many others I read alot of posts on here and finally decided to join....Veteran USMC....now back to my Budweiser...GO VOLS!!!:rock:

I'm a UT alum, class of 98, got to enjoy the Championship run my senior year. Still have a piece of the endzone from the Florida win. I was in the student section that night about 5th or 6th row with no choice but to run on the field when the 30 or so rows behind me starting pushing down. By far the best experience I've ever had at a game. Been living in KY for the past few years so I get to have lots of great banter with the UK fans, heaven forbid the football streak ends any time soon...I might have to miss a few weeks of work.

whats goin on..........Vol fan livin in the middle of the corn feilds in good ol Indianna ......great site keeps me cought up on everything i need to know about the Vols........
