Agreed. The whole problem ,IMO, is that the NFL and NCAA are both to blame. The NFL have used the college levels as their minor leagues since their inception and the NCAA refused to allow a kid to use his own likeness or name to benefit from it all the while making millions off them. Hypocrisy at its finest. The NFL should be made to establish a minor league that pays these kids and develops them for their own use instead of doing it off the back of publicly funded institutions. If it is good enough for other major league sports , then they can do it too.

My thoughts on the transfer portal this - like everything else the NCAA has ever done it swings from one extreme to the other after finally settling somewhere in the middle. Give it a couple of years and the higher ups will institute better rules like only Jr, Sr, and Grads can transfer without sitting out a year. Perhaps even players are only allowed to transfer twice in a career and never in back to back years... we'll see.

OP, have you heard that John Gruden is coming?
PS. Football have been dead for a few years now. Maybe the NIL and the transfer portal will be a rebirth. Or just another nail in the coffin. Time will tell.

IMO, the transfer portal and NIL is like free agency in MLB. It was great for the players and most fans adjusted fine to it but for some it ruined being a fan of the team/players.
