New Kicker arrive???

He stayed in FL an extra month to work more with Coach Conrad who is considered one of the best kicking coaches in the country.

I don't care when he gets here...as long as Lincoln isn't kicking when the season starts

Word is that before he leaves Florida, he is going to tie a rope to one end of the football and the other end to his non-kicking ankle. He's supposed to punt the ball and tag along for the ride to be angled out of bounds at the 2 in Neyland. That's just what I've heard.

Palardy will be an impact player right away, even if he never attempts a field goal. How does it sound to have the other team start off at the twenty yard line, instead of the thirty-five or forty. for a change?

I am excited to have Palardy. I just pray D. Lincoln does not get a chance to kick. I think Chip Rhome could honestly give Palardy a run for his money. I've heard Rhome led the OVC his freshmen year in touchbacks and made 28/30 FG. If the Orange and White game is any indication I feel he could get the job done. At the minimum, he defenitely can kick it over our line. Lincoln or Cunningham couldn't kick it over a line of Oompa Loompas!

Watched Palardy kick and punt over the last couple of days. He punts and kicks at the same camp as my son. Punting you would not believe! He was punting out of the back of the end zone and the ball was touching down, because it was in orbit, anywhere from the 50 to the opposite side 40. He would miss one every now and then, but OMG, when he hits it right, the ball is just launched! Watched him KO the other day in a 20 mph cross wind, and the ball was landing anywhere from the 5yd line to 7 yrds deep in the EZ. Without wind, all those balls are basically in the EZ or out. FG, with the same wind, 50 yrds with no problem and accurate. I will be surprised if he does not cover all these jobs for the Vols. this year. I overheard his punting coach say to his father, "Mike has an NFL leg right now!" Remember, he hasn't turned 18 yet!

There was a YouTube video, probably still there, that shows his skills.

It did look like he was punting so hard that he could kick the air out of the ball, literally.

We should tear the goalposts down for this kid. He's good enough to win a game or two for UT this fall and our team is setup perfectly to need his services regularly (bad O, good D).
