Again, I never made any claim, based on own my opinion or any other sources, that any of those people were being considered.

Consider it a rough equivalent of a "what would you do if you won the mega millions?" thread. it's called theoretical. really, didn't know it was that difficult.

The reason Leach is so low is everyone seems to think Hamilton is not big on him simply because of his lack of communication with the media and is worried to death he may not be a fit with the donors here and most of all he fears he may not be able to recruit at UT. And Kiffin isn't on the list simply because I have yet to hear anyone from any type of media source mention him as a valid candidate. And if Brian Kelly isn't our next coach that simply means he will be at Penn State in 2-3.

yes, my point is that no one has the right to tell this guy to take his thoughts elsewhere, it's a message board, all we do is speculate.

Funny thing is that he was a running back and could still teach Crompton a thing or two about being a QB.

just to be clear, i was advocating better topic consolidation and not suggesting that the OP take his opinions elsewhere (that is, off the board).

making lists of coaches that are allegedly being considered is claiming to know inside information that none of us really have, whereas talking about the skills and theoretical buyout prices of coaches in the SEC doesn't presume any inside information.

My old roomate at UT worked with the football program and now works in an athletic department at another SEC school after he finished his masters there. He isnt a bigtime guy or anything, but he isnt a peon that calls and bugs you for donations either. He said that talk around his office is that we are not going to get one of the guys that people talk about often...Leach, Kelly, Kiffin, Brewster etc...not because we cant get them, but because we'd rather have others. The gist is, that the coaching search itself and what the fans/media are saying, are two totally different things. He said he expects a surprise hire. Take it for what its worth.
