New found respect for out of state Vol fans

Trust me, I know how it is. We used to live in Tampa, Fl for several years before moving back to Knoxville, and I had to put up with a lot of @$#% from some of the gator fans. I worked with a few, and they were always giving me a hard time about my UT stuff I had around my desk, but I kept it there! My favorite time was when I came back to work the next day after we won the NC in '98. They didn't have much to say at all and were very quite for a long time. Some of them did offer congratulations though. They have the most obnoxious, rude, etc. fans of anywhere I have ever been. I never even went to a UT-UF game when we lived there because of all the bad things that people I knew said after going to games there. Most all said they would never go back, and you didn't even feel safe wearing your team colors, and you had to be careful about where you parked your car.

yah i live in Florida and i sport the orange and white every where i go. The Florida fans down here are rude and doosche'y. I try and let it just roll of my back but they just keep naggin. And yah ive been suspended from school a couple of times for defending my team but its worth it.
GO VOLS!!!!!

Live in Atlanta, but Visit my parents in Canada, so I'm cheering in Multiple Countries! Work with mostly UGA fans, and went to school in Rome, GA, which is full of the puppy fans. Not a bad contingent of Vols here in Atlanta, but I still get harassed regularly.

Well, i sport TN colors, but i have to admit after hitting the deer and needing to find a replacement bumper, i finally found one but it had a UGA tag on it. I was too lazy at the time to take it off after finally getting the new bumper attached. But, since i have not even been given a second look by any state patrol or local law enforcement (commute 4 hrs a day in rural GA and "sometimes" a little over speed), i decided what the heck, it saves me money. The confused looks are fun when i get out of my truck wearing with TN colors.

I had a UF professor this past spring, and lucky me I get to have him for my last semester this Fall. Can't wait to hear what he says about football after his basketball talk.

Last year was terrible for me as far as receiving scrutiny for Vol play. I went to the UCLA game with some friends from SoCal. I live in Utah, and I still haven't heard the end of the Wyoming game.

This is hilarious. Nice how all the Bay County Panhandle mullet trash are now Gators. Five years ago, they were all still sporting their Garnet and Gold for the 'Noles.

I love that part of Florida, though. It is where I grew up; wasn't bad as a UT fan in Tallahassee, either.

What beach did you visit?

We went to Panama City.....its funny I kidded around with some LSU folks....they were great.....It was just the UF and AL fans that were goons.."like that is surprising"

I am wearing the colors in Spokane, WA. No one says anything except the occasional Pac-10 trumps SEC crap (especially the last two years-the Vols need to kill UCLA this year) but the fans are of Washington State and Washington, so you know how that goes. I was in Guam recently and saw a Tennessee Volunteers license plate, so I took a picture of it, I thought it was great representation there as well. Lets go Vols and hey Cougs as well-They're like the little team that sometimes can, though not anytime soon.

I was in Athens last summer for business, so I decided to change into a more comfortable polo and walk around and then get a drink...

People in charlotte don't give me too much grief because the only people that care about football are clemson and usce, and they are both consistently mediocre.

Can't say there are a ton of vol fans here considering we are only an hour further away in distance than nashville. Decent showing of fans though.

I'm usually wearing a UT shirt 3 out the 5 work days and deal with stupid comments all day.. Most times it's from Bammer's and the occasional "florida" fan who in reality knows nothing about football except that they have tebow and that the won the national championship..

And LSU fans just want to drink with people.. they don't care who it's with.. put beer in front of them and they will sing rocky top.. no lie..

I go to school right out side of Athens Ga. Wore one of my jerseys once a week, every week. Even through the loses. It was funny, after the Georgia-Florida game i saw maybe 2 bulldog shirts. Made me laugh to see the silly puppys crawl under a rock.
