New father killed by stray bullet. Yay guns

Liberals being scared of guns is like Conservative Christians being scared of gays

Neither one will bother you as long as you treat them with respect

Tell me again how criminals follow or care about laws?

How would more gun control laws stop the felon from getting one, who shouldn't have one in the first place?

Hey, its better to discuss this is it not?

Didn't expect anyone to like it or agree. Sometimes you have to put things on the table to get reaction to a proposal

Gotta crush bad ideas like cockroaches, otherwise they multiply and take over. Example - liberals.

No hard feelings.

I'm not the one on this forum championing gun ownership or possession. I want to restrict it. Severely. So that things like this do not happen.

How did yet another supposedly ineligible person get yet another gun? There is only one answer: He did not have to pass a background check. Whether it was stolen, given to him, sold or traded to him by a friend or other private person, we again are dealing with the tragic and pointless death of someone because our politicians do not have the mettle to stand up and absolutely crush the NRA.

Obviously not all liberals share your view or Holder and Obama would be willing to talk about the "Fast & Furious" scandal. Where's your outrage over that?

Weird how this all seems agenda driven rather than about true concern for your fellow citizens.

You're right.

The only solution is less guns.

You keep saying this. How do you propose we accomplish this? House to house searches by the govt so they can confiscate guns? Do you also support facism?

Interested in this too - what is a Constitutional way to greatly reduce the number of guns.

The irony in this example is that the death was an accidental discharge. Sure the guy shouldn't have had the gun but he wasn't using the gun to commit a crime. This is no different than if a legal gun owner accidentally shot someone. What's the point? We all legally own products that can result in deadly accidents if used inappropriately. This is BS and morbid trolling to advance a political viewpoint.

If gun laws worked, this guy wouldn't have has a gun. If the OP really had his way, only the predators of the world would be armed, the government and criminals.

I do find it amusing that the article he posted proves the opposite of the point he was trying to make,

Why don't you explain how you would like to violate the Constitution.

P.S. I'm going to pick up my new Walther PPQ M2 on Tuesday.

Because a lot of the guns they get are stolen or been in circulation before mandatory backgrounds

We have recovered guns off of felons that were reported stolen in the 80s

Plus, every time you buy a gun, you sign and fill out paperwork for your background check. Plus, when you submit for a concealed carry, you essentially just registered yourself in NCIC as a gun owner. All it takes is a check of your DL history to see your carry status

And this is why I favor constitutional carry. That's some BS that my information is in a government database run by the feds just for gun ownership. It's long past time to end the permit system.

That's his goal. No legal private ownership of firearms. The only reason is because he has no interest in guns. If it was something he cared about he'd be against it. Typical elitest, liberal position.

People that are against private ownership of guns need to do a history check to see and understand why the 2nd Amendment was included in the Bill of Rights. It is very clear if one reads the writings of the early leaders and statesmen of this country that the main reasons for gun ownership is to provide food for the family, protect the family from those that want to do harm and to protect their family and the country from an oppressive government or military dictatorship. Read what people like Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Paine, Richard Henry Lee, James Madison, Noah Webster, George Mason, John Adams and Samuel Adams had to say about the citizens owning guns and being armed. If a person doesn't know who these people are they won't understand anyway. If a person is an attorney and is ignorant of why we have the rights of the 2nd Amendment, they need to get out of the profession and start flipping burgers.

Yeah! Lets just let every crazy person in the world go down to Wal-Mart and buy a shotgun. Every US citizen should own a gun. That will solve all the problems.

The problem is this is not the 1700s anymore and its foolish to still have the same rules and regulations. I wonder if there was a lot of school shootings back in those days.

Gun regulations have changed drastically since the 1700s. Somehow I get the feeling that you have no idea what you're talking about.

No there wasn't and about everyone owned a gun. People then knew if they screwed up they would see severe and swift justice. They actually feared the justice system.
