Sounds, by the articles you link that it's pretty easy for criminals to get guns down in FL. Sounds like a state problem.

Stray bullet kills man day he brings son home from hospital - Orlando Sentinel

Neighbor, a convicted felon by the way, picked up his gun and it just went off. Went into the guy's house as he welcomed his new baby home. Killed him instantly.

Convicted felons cannot legally own guns. But this felon somehow managed to not observe the law. Interesting. We definitely need more gun laws.

BTW, you are the vulture of gun violence. A disgusting scavenger feasting on the carcass of innocent people to further your idiotic position.

I'm not the one on this forum championing gun ownership or possession. I want to restrict it. Severely. So that things like this do not happen.

How did yet another supposedly ineligible person get yet another gun? There is only one answer: He did not have to pass a background check. Whether it was stolen, given to him, sold or traded to him by a friend or other private person, we again are dealing with the tragic and pointless death of someone because our politicians do not have the mettle to stand up and absolutely crush the NRA.

Convicted Felon = Criminal

Criminals by definition do not obey the law so what on earth makes you think he would go through a background check even if it was required for ALL transactions?

He was already restricted from owning a gun

Every person I ever arrested carrying a gun, wasn't carrying it legally or legal to carry it

Criminals don't obey the law. That's why they are criminals. Make all the laws you want, they're not going to obey them. You will just create more victims

How about let's enforce the laws we have now. I have friends in the ATF that say you can't get the current administration to prosecute a gun case. It's almost like they want it to get out of hand so they can make an argument for gun control

Stiff sentences and actually making them do jail time for gun charges, instead of probation would probably be a good start

But, no!! Liberals want to hug and rehabilitate. How dare we put those poor, innocent, people behind bars? Its not their fault. They just need love

Precisely. You are championing death, tragedy, and victims. You're more like the grim reaper than you are a vulture.

You admit this person couldn't get a gun legally then complain there arent enough legal obstacles.

Pathetic troll. Take a break for a weekend from VN. Please, I beg you.

We could also dramatically reduce the number of guns out there. Need to choke off the supply since these other laws are not working.

Not gonna happen

Drugs are illegal

Your president opened the borders. Not only people are coming over the border, but more guns and drugs

Once you make them illegal, just like drugs, you make another lucrative trade for criminals and for politicians like Democratic Senator Lee

Cut down supply of guns so as to reduce the possibility that they can obtain one.

What about drunk drivers that don't have a freaking ID. Ban cars, liquor and beer? If these people can't be here legally, they wouldn't be here....which means they wouldn't be driving,..which means no one would die. Duh!

And unlike drugs, our right to own guns is protected by the Constitution

I do have an idea that we should license people. To obtain the license you must go through numerous steps

Certified Gun Courses to include use, Deadly force, Legal, responsibility of gun ownership
Testing
Mental evaluation

Once these are completed, you are issued a license good for 5 years. Every 5 years, you must have another mental evaluation to renew your license

You can't control----PEOPLE. Period. Have all the laws you want and all the punishments you want, not going to change a thing. Yet, you think you can. Naive bubble boy.

You do not get to make decisions for other people. Your view of this is just that, yours. Stop trying to push it onto others who don't want it. You little lib wenches keep pushing and sooner or later your going to take one on the chin.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, few really fight for it or are really willing to sacrifice to keep it. You sir, are one of those people. When push comes to shove, you'll fold, quickly.
