New contract emotional for Texans' Foster

Love seeing him with so much success. But as a Titans fan, I hate to see that success going to a divisional foe. No one deserves it more than AF, IMO.

Glad he got his life in order and decided to give it his all in the pros. He can serve as a role model to many through the years. Glad momma got that fruit basket finally!

Happy for the man, no matter who I root for. He went from undrafted to top 5 best RB in league. Awesome story.

FosterMom, how's the basket? JK. Congratulations to you and Arian on the contract, but more importantly to you on a job well-done in raising your son. We are proud to call him a VFL.

WOW. Awesome story. Not enough people with that maturity in life. Unfortunate that he had to go through the things he did growing up, but what an incredible young man. Im sure his momma is one helluva woman.

Proud to have a kid like that represent me as part of the human race. Im glad he got a chance to take care of his family. That is very cool.

:good!::good!:

I don't understand why everyone is so excited for this guy? It's not like he gave is all for Tennessee! If he would have acted right and played like he was capable of he would have been drafted but no, he decided to be a head case. For comparison, look at Travis Henry. He grew up living on a dirt floor in Frostproof and he made it big in the NFL but there wasn't this much congratulatory rendentions!

You're a real piece of work if you think he didn't give his all for TN... I'm sure this kid is works harder every day than you have in your entire life... He is more of a VFL than you will ever be...

I feel like Foster gave appropriate effort while he was a Vol. He had productive numbers, except for his senior season, which was a team-wide disaster. He had some fumbles, yes, but I wouldn't say they were from a lack of effort. More bad luck than anything.

Exactly... at least he wasn't robbing gas stations...

I always thought that Arian Foster would make it in the NFL. He had that freight train coming at you attitude, and he could definitely move. On top of that, I liked his personality. The kid took life seriously...and humorously. The pterodactyl act cracked me up.

Yeah, can't believe he came back to UT for his senior campaign, certain to be drafted as a junior, only to go un-drafted because of a failed offense. What a low-life. Travis sure made the most of his opportunity, didn't he? Doubt Arian will ever embarrass UT like that.

I'm so very proud of Arian, no matter what the haters say ...

He's stayed humble throughout (namaste!) & didn't demand "playmaker" money after leading the NFL in rushing; now, he's getting his due. Very classy, stand up HUMAN BEING.

Fumbles don't happen due to "bad luck". Other than that, I agree.

Texans should have traded him to pick up Manning and whoever he wanted for his offense. Lucky for AF though, he would not get that kinda money from any other team.

if by bad luck, you mean not securing the ball properly much of the time then i agree.

i am glad to see him get paid. he was a great back for the vols and an even better back in the NFL.

Are we seriously using Travis Henry as a moral example? Wow.
