High said Vols coach Tony Vitello offered him a scholarship Tuesday and it was "a no-brain decision" to commit to a program he was hoping would enter the recruiting fray.
"Coach Vitello came down to Atlanta a few weeks ago and saw me play in the World Wood Bat tournament, and he liked the way I played," High said Wednesday. "That led (to) other conversations and eventually led to the offer. I was excited because I've been a UT fan my whole life."
"I was looking for a school that played in a highly competitive conference but also had a atmosphere of winning and having fun," High said. "The run that UT had this past spring was great to see because you could tell that program has a lot of life in it."
