I'm glad vols fans feel that bp has accomplished something by finally getting his 1st memphis player, but what did he accomplish? Let's Review: 1.) Pastner never recruited Chris 2.) Pearl will only get the players out of Memphis after Pastner signs who he wants 3.) Head to Head against Pastner, Pearl is 0-2 (Joe "The Real Deal Jackson" and Chris "Clutch Crawford)

Honestly, Chris is a great player to have and I don't think Adonis is a Memphis lock nor is he a Flordia lean. He will be a Tar Heel if offered which sucks for Tigers and Vols fans but you can't get them all. With that being said Vols can have the Memphis talent that Pastner won't be able to use.

Go Tigers

Yes, very impressive for Pastner to pick up two Bluff City kids who have been bred to play for the Tigers and would've gone there if Pastner's grandmother was the coach.

We'll take our 4* and 5* Point guards for next year and take another win over you next year. I'll take that trade any day of the week

You have no clue what your talking about. Just think about the last football coach the vols had. It's not nice to throw rocks at folks when you live in a glass house.

1) I love how we get a Memphis kid and the first thing that Wolken (Memphis beat writer for CA) tweets is that Memphis never recruited the kid.

Couldn't afford to. Their payroll is awfully high from all of Cal's holdovers. Once they get a few of them to flunk out or go to the NBA early, they'll have some free cash to buy some more studs.

I just wonder...is Tiger High ever going to have another significant achievement in basketball that doesn't get stripped?

Melrose boys top Siegel to advance to semifinals The Commercial Appeal

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- By the time Melrose pulled junior guard Chris Jones midway through the fourth quarter, Jones had nearly kept pace with Siegel all by himself.

Scoring seemed effortless for Melrose's Chris Jones (3#) in quarterfinal action. Jones led all scorers with 33 points, helping Melrose beat Siegel 78-55 and advance to the semi's on Friday.

A 5-10 guard, Jones scored a game-high 33 points in 3 1/2 quarters of play this afternoon to lead Melrose past hometown favorite Murfreesboro Siegel, 78-55, in a Class AAA quarterfinal at Middle Tennessee's Murphy Center.

Junior Cedrick McAfee added 10 points, senior Nate Rucker and sophomore Davonte Hampton each had nine points, and junior forward Bobby Parks Jr. had eight for Melrose (35-4), which advanced to take on Knoxville Bearden (32-2) on Friday at 5 p.m. in a semifinal game. Bearden beat Hendersonville Beech, 68-52, earlier Thursday.

Middle Tennessee signee Kerry Hammonds led Siegel (24-9) with 10 points.
