Is that right..

Didnt mean to ruffel your feathers, just wonder if some of the people that are crazy excited to have this guy are the same people that knock Dooley for signing 3* guys out of HS and tell us how he cant recruit.

I understand what you're gettin at and have a guess. Most likely, the guys happy now woulda been mostly happy then, too.

Cause the pure stargazers generally aren't happy unless there is a four-star ranking or higher on all ranking services or at least Rivals, it seems. Juco ranking are still not out, so this guy is unranked and therefore no good to the guys who would have known for sure that a 3* guy who's the 75th ranked DT out of HS is no good.

I'm glad to have him. Big position of need, recruited by FSU out of HS (and now, I think? Not sure). But offered by us and wants to be a Vol. Hopefully, we'll see what he can do someday.

He was just the the animal and didn't mention Joseph at all. He did mention what Coach Thompson told him about being a position of need

nice pickup considering our needs in the trenches, but I really hope we can get a STUD DL in this class

had a solid offer list coming out of HS - fla state, ole miss, arky, and arizona - not all 3 stars are created equal

and like the previous poster said - if he has improved in the meantime and proved more against higher levels of competition then his current JUCO rating is likely a better indicator of his talent than his HS ranking

every player we get to commit is great in my book until proven otherwise regardless of a website ranking.

recruiting websites and their rankings are for fans. it's just a way for the company to capitalize off of recruits and fans. i seriously doubt any coaches look to rivals, scout, epsn, etc. to determine what guys they are going to recruit.

it's fun to look at the stars and the team rankings but at the end of the day your players still have to develop and play the game.

DT is so important in this class. We are so short there, We needed at least one Juco DT so we have some bodies for next season. Now go get two or three big DT from the highschool ranks to commit.

Was this CLT's get?
You got that right. DT's are important in every class. Teams that are consistently winning always bring in quality QB's and DT's every year. Two most important positions on any FB team.

Well since he's NOT just out of high school I guess we'll never know...A 300 lb DT who runs a 4.9 40 is EXTREMELY gifted physically...IMO DT is a position that can utilize sheer size more than any other defensive position on the field..To get a commit from a player with Damien Jacobs' size AND ability will only make the front line less of a liability now...JMHO...TIFWIW

Agree all the way.

Terry Joseph is listed by rivals as being his recruiter.

Coach LT was a big contributor too, he wanted to commit right after camp to LT but Lance told him to wait it out and make sure he knew he was making the right decison. This is definitely LTs player.

Lane Kiffin does! He is a big star gazer!

I think this is a great get. But, does anyone know why he is not ranked or rated by the recruiting services?

JUCOs won't be rated until early September.

So hold off until september to find out if this guy can play or not. What the staff says means very little. I can't wait till Rivals lets us know. If they don't give him a 4*, we need to pull his scholly.
