Here was his situation out of high school...

Seminole signees Damien Jacobs and DeJoshua Johnson land at East Mississippi Community College - ChantRant

Great news....looks like Dooley material....just needs an orange tie now...

Just some info he has already passed one of the math SEC courses and I believe was finishing his other up this last summer term.

That is not looking to be an issue at all for him.

Two years ago he was the 75th ranked DT, 3*.

Would most of you be happy to land the 75th rated, 3* DT coming out of high school now or would it be considered another sorry recruiting job done by Dooley? Just wondering.

Most would not be excited about 75th rated 3*, but that's not relevant to what he is at today. * ratings are a best guess based on the data available at the time.

Performance at a good JUCO program is a better indicator of quality than performance in high school two years ago. Its better data to judge on.

Just like Arian Foster would not have excited anyone as a 1st round draft pick three years ago. Now most people would make him their number 1 running back in a fantasy draft. Niether was an incorrect evaluations at the time. Things changed between one point and another.

Rankings of HS prospects as of this day in this recruiting year do not include their senior year performance. They all have a full season to go up or down in the rankings. Rankings do help us fans with ballpark estimates of prospects, but they in no way trump coaching staff evaluations and how they fill critical needs.

Didnt mean to ruffel your feathers, just wonder if some of the people that are crazy excited to have this guy are the same people that knock Dooley for signing 3* guys out of HS and tell us how he cant recruit.
