Really?
You think all 300-400 Tennessee offers out right now are committable today?
Of course you don't.
Like I said. It's not just UT. Other schools do it too.
I don't understand why guys continue to question the coaching staff ability to recruit. 3 star or 5 let the coaches get the guys they like. GO VOLS
Years ago that was true. Offer lists mattered. Not really any more. Just look how Tennessee tosses out offers. Hundreds of them and ALOT of them aren't committable. Other schools do it too, but UT is usually right at the top extending offers wise. If a kid lists a Tennessee or an Alabama offer but that school won't take a commitment from that recruit that day, is it an offer for anything? No. Its worthless. Lots and Lots of worthless "offers" on recruiting profiles these days.
Last checked we aren't battling Troy and Georgia State Tech A&M University for players like during the Dooley years. This staff knows what it wants in a player. Can't read into it too much but Cam Makers seemed excited about the commitment
So where you from that you have the Rockets as a favorite team? Not many know of the Glassbowl.fade, you know we only use the highest ranking available. He's a composite high 3*. He is rated highly enough that he is likely to get a 4* bump with decent performances this season.
Some have questioned the potential for eligibility issues. I think clearing up any of those questions could also help him in the rankings.
Aside from the star-rating, this kid is a heckuva talent - speed and great hands. He is up to 180+lbs and has been working hard to improve on the field and in the classroom. I think everyone will be very pleased with this guy once they learn a bit more about him.
If you haven't had the chance to see him play, have a look:
Jordan Murphy - Hudl

"All 300-400 Tennessee offers"...???
Please verify by posting the athletes names and hometowns. I didn't know that we offered this many. It would mean that UT only accepts 5% to 9% of all its offers.
And for comparative purposes (since "other schools do it too"), show that 300-400 offers list for Georgia and LSU.

We offered over 200, not 300-400.
He doesn't know what he's talking about. Of course schools offer many athletes and not all of them can be accepted. The problem with his conjecture is that he tries to make it seem like the majority of players are given offers that are not committable. This is simply not true. Many of the accepted offers are given certain requirements, but the majority are committable. It's not always a pleasant side of college football, but room will be made at the expense of an already committed player if a higher valued prospect wants in later in the process.
Based on 247 sports Tennessee recruiting page it lists "offers" to specific recruits as such.
