New Coaching Staff

Strong would be in my top three, but a guy nobody really talks about already coaches in this state. I think Norm Chow would do a good job. He really knows how to evaluate the players he has, and let that dictate the style of play. He did great things at USC and is getting alot out of the talent he has with the Titans.

Nothing in the world (of trivial amusements such as college football) would've made me happier than for the Vols to beat UF Saturday. I did not make a prediciton on this board because I get a little tired of being labeled a hater, but I did call it on Gridscape:

It's just hard to get riled up over a result that you expected. :hi:
You have always stood strong on your stance and I respect that.

The prospect of a Norm Chow hiring is every bit as appealing to me as another year of the current staff. There's a reason the guy is 1,000 years old and has never been a head coach.

what would you guys think if we could get him to coach here at tennessee. I would welcome hime with open arms even though he is getting old he is still a better option than we have now. i don't think it will ever happen though because i don't think we can compete with USC golf courses even though he is from TN.

And please be realistic.

Rich Rod turned down Bama, has a cupcake conference schedule and will continue to win after Slaton and White leave. His defense sucks at WVU.

Bob Stoops will not leave Oklahoma to come to UT. He's handcrafted that program back to national prominence.

I don't expect a coach who has held a job for just a year, either...

I have to admit, TCU's last game gave me an uneasy feeling about Patterson, but that was hopefully just overreacting by me.

I don't think it will happen. I doubt that the administration even goes after him. It'd be really interesting if we did though.
