It's pointless to discuss b/c Pruitt is going nowhere and probably none of those coaches would even sniff coming here (Leach probably feels burned).

But in such an imaginary world, if I have to choose someone other than Pruitt, I'd go with Gary Patterson. Urban and his baggage can go kick rocks.

Sorry, the last gif did not take.

This little movie tells the story.
That would be pretty good if you could add in the mattress burning stuff.

No. FIrst of all I don't think he would be stupid enough to take the job, He's an Icon here. Only a fool would mess with that.

Peyton is an icon everywhere, not just here. He has his own tv show. Your comment he would be a "fool" is off base. It isn't an easy job to walk into. Rebuilding sucks. But like I said, we are irrelevant, have been irrelevant, and will be irrelevant unless someone who cares about TN is capable and steps up to the plate. Does Peyton want Vols to suck this bad? No, maybe it gets to him enough to change it. Cause I have checked out for the most part.

David Cutcliff. UT football was not successful under Fulmer it was successful when Cutcliff was here. Go back and check the record vs the years Cutcliff was the OC here.
Lol. Wut? Head coaches hire their assistants and get credit for successful coaches on their staff. Therefore, when Tennessee was successful when Cutcliffe was here, when Fulmer was his head coach, then Tennessee was successful under Fulmer.

Considering Urban’s ego combined with his success/legacy/record as a HC, I can’t see him taking the TN job. If he coaches again, it’ll probably be somewhere similar to Ohio State. USC, Michigan (highly unlikely), and Notre Dame would be great fits for Meyer imo and more likely of a destination were he to jump back into the fold.
I think that Urban Meyer would take the Tennessee job. If the Administration and powers that be would poney up the funds. This would be a great challenge and if he was to lead the Vols to the National Championship and win that would solidify his legacy even more.
Urban would take this job in a heartbeat.
Stadium holds over 100,000
Tradition is top notch
No reason that he wouldn't.
Question is Tennessee willing to pay .

If (big IF) Fulmer wanted....He might make it tough on Cut to say no if he went in a different direction than CJP . There will be a lot of naysayers and people will trash me and disagree with me. I get it, I do . If anyone could provide stability and a level of accountability to our program Cut could do that. There are a lot of positives and a lot of negatives if he came back, but what are our options really if we fired Pruitt? Who could we realistically get that’s any good? Maybe there are some out there, but I have hard to believing anyone of any substance coming here. I do think the positives outweigh the negatives if Cut came back to The Hill. One thing is for sure, we wouldn’t have have any QB problems for the foreseeable future .

This is obviously a long shot hypothetical and I doubt that would ever happen, but i think it’s relevant here. His quality of life in Durham, his stature in the community, what he’s built at Duke would be hard to walk away from, but I do know FOR A FACT that he and his wife love East Tennessee and refer to it as home.

Hypothetically, If you could name your coach who would it be ? Reality is we can’t .
Urban Meyer would take the Tennessee job.

Stadium holds over 100,000 passionate fans.
Deep tradition
Would always be in running for playoff spot.
He is way better coach than Mullin or Smart.
All we have to do is Offer period.

Cutcliffe is a good coach, he would have us at least beating the Ga.States, and BYUs. We would be competitive and in most games.
Heck I look at what Mack Brown is doing in North Carolina, he has them instantly competitive. He is taking the talent he has and using it to their strengths. Pruitt is not doing that period.

Plenty of reasons that he wouldn’t actually. But one reason he went to Ohio State was a lack of competition. TN is the opposite of that. Even when at FL he didn’t have to play Alabama every year.

Tbh, only a Vol fan would assume that Meyer might would take the TN job.

Better question is: which of the guys that you listed would we be able to actually hire? Probably only Kiffin. I doubt if we offered 6 mil to any of those guys they would take it. Pruitt doesn't count for this argument.
