New BVD Video About Neyland Stadium Noise

Can't blame the man for being passionate! He's mostly right except he forgot to mention some of the posters on this thread that disagree with him and seem to have a total lack of passion for this team. Keep it loud and stay behind our team Saturday as they will need all the help they can get to pull this game out! As for me...I'LL BE LOUD AND PROUD!

P.S....If you hear someone give a sudden scream of pain, I probably elbowed them in the ribs!!

I'm gonna be screaming my ass off at home. Yall will be able to hear me all the way in Knoxville. BVD is a good guy. He is a true Vol, that's more than can be said for alot of people on this site.

I don't understand why people think we can do anything about our noise "issue". It isn't louder there because people yell louder, It's because of the acoustics of the stadium... Neyland will be plenty loud, it will never be as loud as Autzen... we just don't have the infrastructure.

You mean built into a hole in the ground? Seriously though 100k screaming is pretty d@mn loud (see also: vs. UF 98,04). We can be A LOT louder than them any day.

I've spoken to BVD recently ,and he told me he has a VN account. He never logs in though ,because a lot of people don't like him on here. He's a good guy ,and he is a true Vol. He may get carried away sometimes ,but anybody who is passionate about UT is going to get carried away every once in a while. That's just part of being a fan.

I love the guys enthusiasm, but I have a feeling that sitting by this guy during a game would drive me to punching him in the face...and I doubt it was any louder in the 80s than the 90s

Maybe or maybe not ,but he does have a point about Neyland not being as loud as it was during the 90's.

Yeah I'm not buying the whole, "autzen is built to be so much louder than anywhere" argument. I think they're just excited that they finally have something to be excited about...like the new bike u get on christmas. U ride the wheels off of it for the first month..then ur used to having it, and just ride it now and then..

I pretty much agree.. The fans could step up the noise and hostility, a little. As far as the wave goes, I have no problem with it, but it seems that sometimes the crowd gets it going at the worst of times, like when UT is on offense.

The wave from the UTM game is still going strong inside Neyland as we speak.

Although, really the only time to start the wave is during TV timeouts. Long ones.

I think noise is a huge issue in game management, calling plays, etc, but regardless, even IF autzen is slightly louder than Neyland, you have to think that the intimidation factor is sooooo much higher in Neyland. I mean it has nearly double the fans, and they're all the way up like 6 stories looking down on you. Autzen is a pretty cool lookin stadium, but it resembles more some high school bleachers due to how low all the fans sit. I wonder what kind of view the back rows get. Even the nosebleeds in Neyland are good seats, it's like watching the game from the Goodyear blimp.

Nah, you wouldnt want to punch me...hug me maybe after we beat Oregon......GO VOLS....I'm not a " rowdy " stadium fan, I just yell when I need to, shut up when I need to and NEVER do the wave...LOL...ESPECIALLY when WE have the ball in the first freakin qtr.

Thanks to everyone on here who watched that video and any others of mine. Please understand I am just one very very passionate VOL fan and have been since the 70's. If my vids ever offend any VOL fans, it's surely not my intent, unless ofcourse they deserve to be offended. Sometimes I go a bit overboard, but isn't that what being a passionate fan is all about?

Listen, half the time our stadium looks like Florida, not the team but the state. A huge chunk of grumpy blue hairs fill the stadium every Saturday who end up wanting to beat traffic to watch 48 Hours Mystery. "What young feller? a DVR? Whats that a STD you foul mouth fornicating kids have created?" My point.... old people, they are adorable but on a very regimented schedule. Need young blood up in there.
