A lot if the NBA teams have little logo patches above their name plates on the back. A little orange Tennessee shape in that spot would like nice.

We have the power T currently. I feel like we basketball would be copying football a little much with the state out line on the back. JMO

That's actually a pretty sweet idea. The outline of the state is as recognizable nationwide as the actual word Tennessee. That would be a neat alternate uni concept.

That is what I was thinking. As long as we didn't change the orange and white you'd think the older heads would like seeing the state outline.

We need to get the state outline back on the center court at TBA.

The curved TENNESSEE looks awful and has zero creativity.

Haha...touché. To be clear, I was referencing the idea of replacing the name "Tennessee" with an image of the state outline altogether. I don't like the idea of incorporating both (i.e. the name "Tennessee" inside of an outline of the state). That seems like a little too much for my taste.

I think a faint, watermark checkerboard effect would be cool. Maybe using slightly different wood stains on the court to create the effect that from a distance, or on tv, would be noticeable.

Yup I agree. You look at some of the cool designs on courts across the country and were clearly behind the 8 ball IMO.

I also hate the "Tennessee" logo. The font is terrible and it just doesn't look that good. I would love the state outline or the power T to be at mid-court and I like the idea of a checkerboard watermark. It could look awesome if it was done properly.

One has to think with all of the graphics work we've seen the UTAD put out over the last 6-8 months, somebody in there has cooked up a few court concepts...

I would think so too. Seems like they are doing a complete overhaul on many of the uniforms and going for a more universal look for the teams. I believe we're supposed to be getting new baseball uniforms too.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the Smokey Gray basketball uniforms look like (you know they're coming).
