This is mainly directed at Milo, but there should be plenty of others with an opinion.

I'm looking for some new bands that I'll like. I've been rotating between Senses Fail and Eighteen Visions for the past couple of months and am looking for something similar but new... The new Linkin Park album is gawdawful. I'm going to check out The Plain White T's b/c I like the acoustic single they have out "Hey there Delilah". Any other suggestions? Preferably stuff similar to Senses Fail and Eighteen Visions.

What about the newest Modest Mouse offering?Sounds good so far.

Excellent idea. While I never got too into their last album I liked what I heard, even though it is nothing like 18V or Senses Fail. I'll put it on the list, thanks Lex. :good!:

Don't mention it. The newest video "Dashboard" is very good, and I generally don't like music videos very much.

It seems groups similiar to them are struggling to find an identity after the nu-metal/ rap-rock phase has gone out the window. 311's last cd sucked and I am a big fan but will only listen to their older stuff. P.O.D's last cd, Testify was very good IMO but again most people don't like that style.

I agree on 311. I think Creatures was the last single I liked from them, it reminded me of stuff off the self-titled...

Never was a fan of P.O.D.

Say Anything is awesome, Discover America is good, Underoaths drummer's side project The Almost is very good too. But yeah Senses Fail new CD is incredible I've had that in my CD player for a while. My favorite CD of the year is Brand New's new CD. Its very very good you should give it a listen.

I like the old Senses Fail disc a little better than the new one, but I'll check out your recommendations. Thanks. :dance2:

Queens of the Stone Age has a new album coming out in a few weeks. The Kings of Leon released a decent album recently too.

The last two I've been surprised by are Ben Lee and Kings of Convenience.

I found a band called Caliban not to long ago. Theyre a metal band from Germany and they kick ass i think. Check out The beloved and the hatred or It's our Burden to believe.

Try Wolfmother they sound like Led Zepplin a little bit.

I was going to say Wolfmother also but don't know how new they are. I think they sound a lot like LZ, which is a good thing.

Also, they might not be new, but the Hives, a band out of Sweden, has a nice punk sound.

And for a little upbeat nostalgia, check out Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, a group of punk musicians who get together every so often and do cover albums. Some good stuff there.

If anyone has not heard or seen the video for Damien Rice's "9 Crimes," you should. IMO, one of the best songs ever written.

That jerk Milo didn't even respond.

Say Anything is good, as recommended by matt, but otherwise I haven't really found a new one that I'm digging. Guess I'll have to wait until the new Story of the Year album drops... I sure hope they haven't fallen to crap like so many other bands I've enjoyed early and then they turned to crap. (Incubus, Linkin Park, etc.) :crossfingers:
