You don't have to be a citizen in order to have a drivers license, many states, mine included, have allowed illegals drivers licenses for years now, they figured that since the federal government was going to look the other way they may as well protect the citizens the best way they can by trying to ensure those driving were licensed and covered by insurance.

How is giving illegals drivers licenses protecting citizens? And trust me, many of them don't have license or insurance.

If you regulate their driving, by making sure they can pass the test as well as buy insurance it makes things somewhat safer. I'm not saying it's perfect by any stretch.

I realize many do not have licenses or insurance but many more do today then they would have 8 or 10 years ago.

The are allowed to take the test is many languages and if they don't have a license they will still drive. So I am not sure how it helps.

An illegal ran into my wife's car, he had a Mexican drivers license and no insurance. All he got was a damn ticket.

I love the way the little 13 year old Mexican stated that, " they won't be able to walk to school anymore without being hassled but the "pigs" ". A classy addition to our society.;)

The whole thing is getting absolutely stupid at this point.

Everybody needs to read the damn law before emotional break downs and boycotts start.

No way, our country has a long and proud history of deciding where we stand on a law or bill and NEVER actually reading it. Our politicians don't even read it when they vote on it. It's the American way!

I don’t doubt the man’s intelligence or competence. That’s why he is so scary.

What I do not like about him are his policies. If he were a complete dolt, I wouldn’t worry about his ability to manipulate and/or negotiate in order to implement his political ideals. While he probably hasn’t sad down and read the bill word for word, I’m sure he has been briefed on the details of the bill, specifically any vulnerabilities it may have. I admittedly have not read the bill, but have heard from those whom have that it was well written and done so with the expectation that it would be challenged. This being the case, he is appealing to the inaccurate and emotionally fear based rhetoric that has been offered as opposition to the bill as apposed to challenging any legitimate weakness.

personally i'm not sure if he is stupid or just regurally outright lies to the american people. i completely agree the latter is much much scarier. part of me truly believes he believes the crap coming out of his mouth.

I agree with you, and yes his destructive policies are on purpose, he is killing our Republic on purpose.

I have to admit that it is probably a personal character flaw that I’m overly sensitive to the idea of underestimating an opponent.

He believes half of what he says and justifies the other half he knows are lies. I believe he has been conditioned over time through personal experiences and relationships. He does share some of the basic traits that make many politicians good at what they do, they have no problem telling half truths or misrepresenting the issues and subjects they deal with as politicians. There are some people who are genuine and others who aren't, I feel Obama leans more to the later.

Sure there will be, never doubted they would. When you start messing with the current and future illegal voting base it will stir em up.
